what do they actualy mean by that?

when you see that sign is it like now im wondering if this is genuine or not hmmm of course it is a genuine sale or you wouldnt be selling it.

so if a car is just "for Sale" does that mean it isnt Genuine.

Usually genuine reason for sale means:

"Its got a really annoying fault which doesn't stop it from running, but is required for rego and will cost a fortune to fix"

what about these ones lol

CELEBRITY OWNER (used in a low budget porn film - seats may require cleaning)

GOOD CONDITION (only rolled once)

Haha i think alot of people write things like that... When i sold my commodore a bit ago I put on my car sales ad; female owner (means nothing, car was thrashed)
genuine kms (big no no) and good condition for age (it rolled three times) oh and good car for a P-plater, being done up and all (transmission slipping and excessive oil leaks, so bound to last them till them write it off)

when your buying a car, its always a risk.

when i went to buy a car, i did that check with the vin and all that, and it was previously written off and was still under finance.

The next car I bought was an Audi 90 sport, i bought this from the car auction. The sheet on the window said it was all servicable for its age, so i won the car, went to go start it, and the battery was flat, so they jumped it and off i went. Then it started bubbling and over heating. Anyway when i got it home, we decided to sell the car, a girl bought it, and brought her boyfriend along, they were both 18. I told him and her ALL the problem, as i sold it for very cheap. they didnt even want to take it for a test drive, but i insisted that they should. He took it for a drive, checked under the hood and fiddled with some things and said Yes we will take it. I told them you wont be able to make it home, as they lived 100kms away, and they said we will work it out. By the way the boyfriend was a mechanic, (so he says) they get home and tell me I didnt tell them that the thermo fan switch had been bypassed and cracked it...
when i listed everything that was wrong and made a list of what itd need to pass road worthy, and she said to me I was to keep the car, but you pay me an extra $500-700 to help get a road worthy, bitc* was insane.

At the risk of being kicked, stoned, piddled on etc, not all females are dumb when it comes to cars.

My daughter knows more about cars than most of the dickheads she hangs around with, and is very particular when it comes to looking after her car.
Me being a car nut doesnt help her cause

Anyway, back on the subject, I always laugh at the first to see will buy add. Do you get a prize if your the 2nd one to buy?

the worst is actually 'selling on behalf of my brother/mate/cousin' who is overseas. OR when you call about the car for sale and they say 'which one?' - both are usually illegal car dealers. some of which bought it cheap at auction. some have bought at dealers auction via a mates dealers licence.
