My father told me many years ago that the world runs on BS. At the time I thought he was very cynical, but I'm beginning to think he was right.
One time, my wife and I were to have a weeks holiday with another couple and I suggested an experiment.
"How about we are completely honest with each other for this weeks duration?"
"No way" was the response. So I guess it just confirmed that my father was right and that most people just can't handle the truth. |

Unfortunately I have a tendency to tell it "Like it is", which sometimes gets peoples backs up.
I don't do PC, touchy-feely, or any unwarranted "Feel good" factor crap!.
I just can't be arsed BS'ing people. A lot of peeps don't want to hear the TRUTH..........tough poos!

Some people just have issues. I just moved out of a sharehouse because of this very reason.

I am very blunt about my thoughts on 2 of my sisters partners. I've told them I don't like them and I've told my sisters I don't like their partners.
Everyone knows where everyone stands and there is no weird •••• , animosity or plain old BS.
To me it's much simpler than going around BS'ing behind peoples backs and pretending everything is rosy. |

Funny thing is Dan, I moved out of a sharehouse with my brother and his partner. The reason for moving out was that I wasn't happy. I had to stick up for myself & look aftermyself. I told them my relationship with my brother would improve once I was out (as there would be no more conflicts between myself and his partner)
They've taken it personally, they think I've got something to hide (Which I do) I'm not going to jeopardize my relationship with my brother by telling him and his partner that I don't like her.
She could be round for quite awhile... |

My wife's Brothers are loosers, and I will NOT have anything to do with them.
One of them is a dole bludger in Queensland, and his wife (a nice person) has to work to keep them comfortable.
Other Brother is a spineless little muppet who is a "Yes Dear, No Dear, whatever you say Dear".
HER kids are a total waste of space.
Her Daughter has done more miles on her back, than on her feet, and has the sprogs to prove it........Dosen't/won't work, and expects Mummy & step-Daddy to fork out for everything......Stupid ••••! (she's 38)
No.1 son has the IQ of a retarded pet rock, is on welfare, has inumerable illegitimate rugrats littered around the countryside, is on medication for god knows what (being a serial TWAT, perhaps!), and he's 37......Dickhead!
No.2 son is an obnoxious 6'6" pretzel who wants to go to the US and work in a Summer Camp (probably a closet pedophile!). I offered to help him pack!.............36 yr old Prick!.
The Mother aka: "Hairy Legs" (she dosen't believe in shaving em) thinks her children are wonderful and misunderstood...........Yeah, Right!
They ALL know my opinion of them, and they stay away............Good job, saves me from telling em to •••• OFF!.

In my experience this shouldn't affect anything with your brother.
I still get on fine (as well as I ever have, anyway) with my sisters and don't have to put up with their pet bums, as I call them.

Wow, I feel very lucky - my Sister married a great guy who I have lots in common with, my wifes sisters are all pretty good people, and only one of them married a drop kick who I can't stand. (kicked him out of my house once and told him he was a disgrace to his wife and kids and no sort of man at all) Pretty much the whole family has the same opinion of him - actually even his brother has the same opinion of him as far as I can tell.
The rest of them all have decent husbands/partners - don't have much in common with them as I'm a geek and they are not, but we all get on OK. |

My old man has the same opinion, Mike. He told me when I was younger that he was sick of Real Estate because he had to keep bullshitting to vendors to keep up with other agents . You tell a vendor "This house and land is worth $300k" and some other agent tells vendor "Oh we could get you 350 for that, we're quite sure". 3 months later the second agent is lowerin the asking price claiming the market is saturated or blaming the financial market. 9 months later its
down to 310k........
Anyway thats why he left Real Estate and started business broking instead. |

Yeah Ian, actually we do.........Because we only have OUR kids down for Chrisy, and they're great (except for eldest Daughters husband, who is one of these annoying pricks, that has to talk over everybody else, and anything that YOU'VE done, he has done better, more often with greater knowledge than ANYONE else........Friggin Boofhead!).
Plus, PLUS, he drives a 96 Falcon XR6 manual, and it's not even a tidy one (POS!) that he thinks is just the shizzle! (poor misguided pillock!).
I'm extremely fortunate that I'm an only child, AND adopted to boot. I was chosen. Not the result of some drunken root in the back of the hot FJ Ha Ha!.
No siblings to piss me off (bonus).........Life is GOOD.
Just me n' wifey-gadget, 3 cats, and a gazillion bloody Goldfish in the pond outside (MAN, those things root like Rabbits!)

Birth mother was 15, birth father was 37.
Her parents went ape (as they did in those days!) and forced her to give me up for adoption when I was freshly hatched (thank God!).
