hit a pot hole in mitchell yesterday!
going 10km/h ..flat tyre. smashed rim.
happy times.... 
There were 2 other people changing their tyres out. it was a MAJOR hazzard. on a busy gungahlin drive.
Im going to try to get the govo to cough up the repair bill for a $300 tyre an a $500 rim.

yeah the car is pulling to the right as well. I think something may be damaged. hopefully its just a wheel alignment |

may have bent a rack end. take the pics to the council you may be entitled to paid damages i had a branch fall on my commodore and scratched the paint and they said they will respray the roof lol i dont know if you would have to go through rta or whoever looks after that road |

Nice looking hole indeed, I know of people who have received compensation for this kind of thing in the past.
not sure how they went about it though. At least you have pics and details.
The more info the better I would imagine. |

Ironically, if you were doing 50km/hr over it, you would in all probability, get no damage at all.
At the slower speed, the wheel can drop deep into the hole, whereas, at higher speeds the wheel dosen't have time to drop very far at all before you're over it.

Get on to the Council and demand they pay for your damage. It worked for me once in Carrum. |

Gary i had a similar experience except i am way dumber than you. I hit a pothole going to work and screwed up my left front rim..then on the way home i hit the SAME pothole and ruined the front right rim! second time i wasnt so lucky as it didnt hold air so drove home on a spare. Now i drive on 16inch wheels which seem a bit more forgiving |

hehe hey boris youre right! it should be impossible hey. sheesh im not a liar lemme think...i may have been taking a right turn near the intersection where the pothole was, as sometimes i take a shortcut on the way home due to traffic on bigge street liverpool. either way have the photos to prove it. Anyway Sherlock good thinking |

that pothole isn't that bad. Can't take your eyes off the road in toowoomba. If you don't dodge them your toast. |

Well i got the paper work from the RTA.
But there is a section where it says
"Low profile or non standard wheels"
So either way if I fill it all out and hand it in. They wont pay because i do have low profile tyres and non standard rims"
Ahh well. good thing i have spare rims..
Ill get that rim fixed at some point.. |

Mate that sucks, Canberra roads are pretty awful in general. Driving around the suburbs you have to play 'dodge the pothole'. |
