Shop around on line - I don't know what its like in WA, but over here there are LOADS of little Asian computer stores that sell great stuff at very low prices and offer free delivery and pretty decent service.

A long beep is caused by insuficient power at startup, normally the 6 pin is loose etc.

If the psu is just not big enough, it still should be able to boot but then restart or freeze during high gpu load

Your current quad is not fast enough???
What do you plan on doing that is so CPU intensive?

Just upgrade the graphics card and RAM.

MSY has good prices, but it's amazing how they are able to run a business and not know how to write properly

No ones takes notice of their spelling when they sell most of their stuff cheaper than what they bought it for.

if you have a spare power supply laying around, use the pin shorting trick to make it switch on and power the vid card while your existing one powers the rest of your

worked for me for 2 years with the old computer haha

Although that's not his problem Austen.
It still should be able to boot, because its not booting and there's a continues beep, means the video card isn't receiving any power at all or its not plugged in properly.
