Watching movies is about escapism and enjoying the movie being portrayed as real.
What I'm getting at is, when someone gets shot , it loses it's entertainment value when you can tell it's CGI or bad makeup or a gelpack exploding.
Watching Cartoony spaceships flying around now in Starwars looks Gimmicky , whereas before you could imagine it being actually in space etc.
Fake monsters look realy fake, CGI has a totally different look to the live action , Green Screen stuff looks fake.
New fullHD TV's show this up ,so the effects now have to catch up to look more real.
Thats all , I can live with it , but my mate hates it , and is staying with his analogue CRT TV for the foreseeable future. |

I just hope there are cheat codes ect so you don't have to waste you life earning money to buy them.
I don't want any of that side of the game I just want to run races in which ever car I choose. |

Yep and I don't want any of that crap.
Sadly with a lot of new games they seem to be putting more in them feature wise but reducing game play. (one of the reasons I hardly play games anymore the other is lack of time)
For me game play and realism is where it is at.
Has anyone used the iracing sim, supposed to be the current best on the market.
I'm not happy about the leasing and have to pay per month to use it though. |

yeah as ali said haha i mean i bought a ps3 a few years ago cause this was coming out soon lol
i remember i spent days on gt2 almost non stop getting gold in all the licences to get the extra cars unlocked lol |

Few interesting things about gt5..
1. Track day mode (online)- forget playing against every mofo and their dog, douchebags driving the wrong way coz crashes are so HeKTIK!!... gt5 allows you to list only your mates online.... so here is how it works.. organise with your mates to say.. race at laguna seca at 6pm.. one person goes online and starts the game.. they can then practice until others arrive.. as more opponents get there they can join you just doing time trial etc... when you are all there.. you can start the race.. (awesome)

3. only 200 odd cars will have interiors... (bit •••••
4. despite many previous "release date" announcements..this is the first official release date stated by PD and Sony... orders have been shipped, they cant back out now..
5. i have next thursday booked as annual leave... this game better be ••••••• epic..

To anyone who doesn't have a g27 steering wheel you have to get it now! The force feedback is so good and strong, you even get torque steer in fwd cars. |

My mates got a gt pro seat, only problem is it's leather and you get really sweaty in it. Plus it takes up a lot of room so I ordered a wheel stand pro. Barely takes up any room once folded up and then you can adjust it to be used in any seat. |

i got it yesterday. Bit annoyed at the loading time even if you transfer the data to the hard drive. That and lack of ability to put wheels on most cars and when you do there are like only 10 different types lol
im up to international b licence finished beginner level done half of the next one.. |

It left USA on the 21st so anytime now. I'll let you know what it's like David when it arrives. I ordered the newer version which is wider and heavier for increased stability. |

Yes Justin, you do.
Regarding the g27, there is a bit of a problem with the h pattern gearbox. Apparently logitech was asked by Sony to change their firmware for gt5 and Logitech said no so Sony decided not to support it. Because of this you can't customise the button setup and changing gears, especially first to second has to be done very slowly. The flappy paddles work fine though. |
