recently went to buy a blow off valve from user onejzkon, all went fine, heard from the user named Kon Hondros :Email <ahondros@optusnet.com.au>
but when it came to recieving the item it never arrived, i waited two weeks, and asked what was going on, person replied saying the item had been returned!, after countless efforts to find out what was going on in this two weeks i didnt not hear from the user, so once he said it was returned i kindly asked for a refund.
he said he would refund the money the next day, and send the BoV as an apology.
3 - 4 weeks later. i still have not recieved neither the blow off valve i paid for nor the money used to pay for it!..... still trying to get hold of this user.
so now im taking this measure to assure none of you boys have the same problem. so avoid this user and buyer!. thanks all!

Genuine Toyota all the way!
You can't buy Aftermarket / performance parts from toyota.. And sadly theres not much of a backing for soarer's in australia so alot of things need to be brought from japland. So its alot cheaper to buy things second hand then it is to spend twice the ammount for it new AND then pay for it to get shipped.

That's why i always try to buy local, and go pick it up and pay for it on the spot.. It would be nice to be able to trust everyone here, but unfortunately we can't. If i am buying interstate, i try to look at their history etc and see what they're like.. Maybe we could have a 'Trusted seller/buyer' area that only Pen can put people into?

Its been mentioned before Chris,
Unfortunately the impression I get from Pete is that he is very resistant to any form of change on this site, irrespective of how it may benefit its members

Or it could be that if he acknowledges that a particular person is trustworthy by adding them to a list it might leave him open to litigation if they rip someone off.

Thats not how it works jeff.
On plenty of other forums im on, theres a section where you can post your feedback about how well it went with a seller or buyer.
So say a guy called "Nathan Hlad" Rips someone off. YOu post in that section letting people know you've paid for the item, but it has yet to be recieved, and they aren't asnwering emails or txt's, making up bullshit to bide time, etc.
Now say Mr. Hlad is looking to sell something else in the future, a buyer ALMOST goes to deposit money, but wait, maybe i should check out his previous feedback? I wonder if hes trustworthy? Buyer comes across said thread, and saves himself a few hundred dollars he'll never get back.

Sounds like Ebay. There are dodgy buyers as well as sellers though.

That isn't correct.
I am busy, so making changes isn't a high priority, but more so I really don't want the responsibility of having to make posts about people being OK or not. It's a legal minefield if nothing else.
What is someone mails me and says that you let him down?
What if you then mail me and say he caused the problem?
Who am I to believe and either or both of you could well feel hard done by which ever way I decided to write about it.
It's easy enough for anyone to start a thread that could be continually added to either about appreciation or being ripped off.
I happily make the forum available, and with the mods help, the forum is managed to keep it as a nice place to be.

Peter, its not a "legal minefield" if you let the community to decide who is dodgy and who isn't.
A simple section next to the For Sale area where you can put feedback about how a sale went would be perfectly fine. Nearly every other car enthusiast forum out there has it.

Then i guess all the other forum owners out there, and ebay, are just waiting to get sued.
I can understand if you're slandering a business, but saying "xxx did not send his item and is not answering my PM's" ...surely thats not a case to sue someone for? Otherwise everyone would be sueing everyone for "He said im a xxxx" or "xxx said i did xxxx when its a lie"
