A coupe of months ago i decided to make a replica of the Empire state building. So far i have most of the frame work done and some of the panells to cover it up. Its made of Balsa wood.
Ive made it accurate to a scale of 1/225th, so once its finished it will be about 2 metres to the top of the antenna. To really make it look nice ive bought a 150 or so red, white and green leds to make the top levels light up at night. Should look pretty good.
Ill also have to do a tidy paint job similar to the actual colors.
Im then thinking about selling it. Considering its not cheap to make (loads of balsa wood, paint, LEDs etc) how much do you guys think i could sell it for? I guess it just depends what the local markets willing to pay for it.
Any way heres a picture of it so far, could make a good piece for a King Kong fan!
some of the wood sheets are not stuck on... just makes it look more complete.

I was actually thinking of that. I saw a show today about King Kong and it featured small empire state building models with a King kong figure on the top!
