Does this freeway have fixed speed cameras?

My company has been installing cameras along the Geelong F'way, I know they are on the Western Ring Road and the SE/Monash F'way.

Anyone know about the Eastern? Do they just have coppers with radars? I've been trying to spot em but haven't found em yet (The cameras that is, the coppers are easy to spot :-))

As far as i know there arent any fixed speed cameras in eastern freeway, i always travel the eastern freeway everyday to work and i havent spot any yet...

But i know near the end of the freeway towards the city there always a cop car with radars on the left and sometime behind the trees..

Yeah, they sit there between 7-9.30am keeping an eye on the Transit lane.

Thanks Daniel, I know they've got monitoring cameras for travel times and whatever past Chandler H'way, but that's it.

I'd ask my company but they haven't had anything to do with the Eastern (Yet :-()

Haha. Yep, It's pretty funny.

We cop non stop abuse, I think it's funny as.

One loser yelled out "GET A JOB!!!" Haha, did he think we were doing it for fun haha, loser, typical dumbass from that side of town, he was probably from Laverton hahahahaha.

Seriously though.

There is one at Grieve Pde, and then more down past Laverton mainly near Avalon.

Apparently some where shot at / destroyed with a rifle, keep it coming people, it keeps us in work hehe.

no fixed cameras on the eastern, but in addition to cars with radars sitting on the median around the Chandler Highway exit, there are regularly cops sitting on the on ramps at blackburn and doncaster roads waiting for someone to fly past.

There's several unmarked cars that go back and forth a few hours a day and also a couple of bikes that patrol...

I know, I think I've been done by all of them at one time or another :D

Come to think of it, I'm certain they don't have fixed cameras on the eastern, my mate used to drive home from work along the eastern EVERY day at 200kph... And he's still driving with a licence.

i've had a few random checks on the eastern. usual sports are, after alexander just before hoddle st entrance (the bit right after the bridge), chandler in the middle where its nice and dark, under the bridge after hoddle (the bridge that goes through yarra blvd). no fixed cameras though i've heard rumors of them installing it.

Tim, on the other freeway we originally did, some very unhappy scum bag from that side of town shot / destroyed all the new cameras along the road with a high powered rifle, I'm thankful he had the decency to do it when we weren't there.
