| It's not every day you get as close as this to an F1 car, so I made sure I got plenty of pictures! I have all the original high resolution pictures from my camera, let me know if you would like to see any of them and I can upload them to my web host. Oh and for those that don't know, Jensen Button did a 1:48 in the F1, Lowndes did a 1:49. So the lap record has been unofficially beaten, none of the tracks timing systems were operating for this.

| Is it true they are moving to 1.6 litre 4 cylinder turbo charged engines in 2013? |

| Yes that appears to be the case, although I believe the specific regulations about forced induction have not been made clear yet. Sorry Adam, I dont have any info on the ride height. |

| I think it will be better like in the Mansell days waste gates being held shut for 7 seconds ,turbos letting go at full power (do you remember the flames ),the times will be the same or better. Ali $110....

| The only appeal of F1, were the V8, V10 and V12 cars which must be all dead by now? I've never taken an interest in F1 anyway. Let alone 1.6 Turbo versions... Yawn. |

| Yeah, its so odd that a sport that seems to have so little public interest (I only know 1 person who follows F1) still seems to generate so much income. I totally agree, its dead boring compared to almost any other motorsport - except perhaps Aussie V8 Supercraps, and of course Nascar, which is the most tedious form of Motorsport IMO. |

| Watching Mark Webber last Sunday go from 18th on the grid to 3rd was better than seeing 20 911s following each other. |

This year has been by far the most entertaining and eventful in recent years - the amount of passing generated by the DRS and the Pirellis and their falling-off-a-cliff wear transient has meant that everyone has been scrambling for position. Sure, there are still some problems, and half the races are in Middle East countries where 3 sheikhs and their camels are the only ones in the grandstands, but it is about time F1 had a bit of a renaissance. Now, bring back the real Hockenheim and Fuji, allow 3 bar of boost on the turbos and jungle-juice fuel (with corresponding flamethrower effects) and we should be set for the next 10 years. |

One of my top 5 automotive sporting moments. I understand people not liking F1 in the past but now we have someone to barack for I thought at least peoples patriotism would get them interested in it. I mean I can finally watch F1 with girls in the room. A friend of mine was screaming her head off for Webber during the final laps. |
