Cuong you could Photoshop yours to make them tinted or paste the image out off eBay and resize and fit it over your lights. I personally like the stock 97 lights and they are cheaper to buy than these. also im fairly sure that smoked tail lights are illegal in most states (definitely Adelaide)

Hi Hayden, I'll give photoshop a go and post it up up. I like the 97 lights too, I heard somewhere they dont fit into a 91' soarer though? Not sure how true this is.

No not the plugs, it's the number of brake lamps and indicator lamps. Although I think what I did was use the loom from the 91 tail lights. (can't remember, it was ages ago).

Had a go of see what it looks like on photo shop, actually like it
My rear lights are currently tinted, I used that light tint spray on them, didn't turn out to bad. Never got hassled by cops about them. After a while they started to faded, but nothing a respray won't fix!

Hey man, I used VHT Nite shades, I bought a can from Autobarn, think it cost around $17 dollars, can't remember exactly how much.
First I cleaned the outside of the lights, and sanded it really lightly. Then I applied a few light coats to it. Take your time and take a step back, it generally looks darker than you think. First time I did it I put way to many coats haha
I put a clear coat over the top too. Wasn't as shiny as I thought it would be, but still I liked the tinted look.
There's a few useful videos on youtube showing how to do it in more detail. Haven't heard of the 'AUG lens painter" so can't comment on that. Might be cheaper just to get one from Autobarn + no waiting time

Ok bought some of the nightshades and heres my result:
Also just a question the wind blew a little bit of the Shade onto the right back panel so i used a cloth and a small amount of metho to remove it. Is that ok to do? And do you like the LIGHTS!!?

WICKED BRO. The indicators work really well actually. When i was spraying them i had my missus in the car with her foot on the brake and had the hazards on so i know when to stop spraying haha. Dude the Black badges look awesome what you use to spray them ? can i just spray them with nightshade or i have some matt black exhaust paint...

The light shows through at night really well man! Looks good, I sprayed to much the first time and yeah, my indicators weren't too visible during the day haha
Yeah man, I reckon black will match you lights well now with them being black
By the looks of your badges they look pretty shiny. Mine were too, the first time I sprayed with just Matt Black spray paint, it works, but after a while u get some flaking.
The second time round, I lightly sanded it with a very fine sand paper, cleaned it and used some primer on it first and then matt black after. Some strong double sided tape will secure them back in place fine.
As for using the nite shade, I don't see why they wouldn't work, with enough layers it will be black in no time. Matt black looks better than glossy or shiny in my opinion

Ok Here's daytime indicators:
Indicators OFF (Above) Indicators ON (Below)
They aren't as bright as they are in real life in the picture. But if i was going to change lanes you will definately notice them they aren't inconspicuous haha

Also Coung are the badges just stuck on from stock or do they have plastic plugs that stick into the boot? i don't want to pull them off and realise i've snapped some plastic plugs.

Looks sweet man!
About the badges Haydn, I think there may be pins. My ones didn't have pins, I got a blow hair dryer and hovered it over the badges for a minute or so, and just used some floss between the badge and the body and just kept working it till it separated. Fairly easy to do once the adhesive is heated up. However after removing the badges there were holes behind the badges which I'm guessing means original badges had pins.

Hey guys,
I have been looking into the completely smoked tail lights, and from what ive found about SA laws, it is all about still letting enough light through so that you can clearly see your brake lights during the day.
I will check with regency and confirm when i know.
