Stock they dyno at 160rwhp, 175rwhp or there abouts with intake and tune, more with exhaust.
The first turbo kit dyno'd at 215rwhp @ 4psi. Stock block should IMO take 6-8psi, which should net approx 250rwhp.
After that stuff will get too expensive. 250rwhp in a 1250kg car..lol that should see it into low 13s high 12s.
To be honest I dont really mind the subaru engine, theyve been in a couple of Best Engine lists. |

108rwkw is more like 125-130rwkw standard.
i can understand jumping out of a VE SS and being disappointed with power, but one of the things about the car is it makes you work for what you want. if my soarer had a working torque converter, it would blow the doors off it in the straights... but the soarer was no where near as fun to drive.
the car has loads of potential for straight line speed with modification, obviously not the same as a 6lt V8, but they are 2 completely different cars. |

I love the Interior it does look nice. I think this car might become a bit of a cult car like a EG Civic with after market parts basically to replace everything on it, would be pretty cool I reckon. High Comp high revs and Turbo.

Looks like a turbo could sit where the battery is too - for that WRX style turbo mount.
No doubt that turbo near the GB will work and the high comp will take care of the lag - but it does need a lot of heat management and a scavenge pump for the oil drain.
Mount the filter in a better spot and paint the cooler pipes wrinkle black for that OEM look!
Just hope those rods and bearings are strong to handle the boost + high Comp!
I believe this is a direct injected motor - have they cracked the ECU yet to retune it? |

I like that turbo setup, looks nice, that's the sort of stuff I'm waiting for to be sorted out.
don't read me wrong I really liked the car, and I will most likely buy one used, when parts are available and the hype market has settled, its just not setup for the driving I do in the SS or the Soarer.
i got the 108rwkw, off some of the Australian guys that have dyno'd theirs from other forums.
oh and no doubt the 86 will be a massive cult car, it was a cult car before it launched. |

Wow. I must have over 100 corrected ones . And all my mates 7,8,9,10 second cars ones are all corrected to cause they don't look like crap !
It looks like a knock sensor pulling/adding timing to be that jagged Ali . |

Daniel I think that eventually (hopefully as soon as possible) Subaru will release one with a super/turbo charger. Toyota said they wouldnt because I assume they want to keep the turbo setup for the "supra successor". TRD is working on a supercharger kit. I think that a gt28 is perfect for this application. 6-8psi and you're laughing |

I think Toyota has totally left the Fast car scene, and it's more about funky looking small cars now with Toyota.
How cool would it be if the Supra came back, looking more edgier but still nice with similar but updated lights. 4.0L Straight 6 with Twin Sequential Turbos. |

Boris you want to see the new toyota? Have a look at the Lexus LS460 F-Sport Concept. Rated at 500kw. Thats the direction theyll be taking. Toyota has also stated that they will have a 3 tier sports car line up, with the 86 being in the middle. |

hmmm obviously nobody reads the newspaper or checks the interwebs for news
toyota ARE bringing the Supra back, its going to be a AWD hybrid v6 norm motor drives back wheels electric drives the front wheels
toyota are bring a turbo model of the 86 later this year or next year, cant remember which one, oh and there also making a convertible 86 also |

The convertible has been confirmed by a chief Toyota engineer as being in the works (and that the platform was designed with a convertible in mind from the beginning)

Looks Mint Ali. It's hard to believe there's an 18+ Month wait on the GTS Model, I suppose that proves Toyota & Subaru hit the nail on the head with this car.
Will be interesting too see the Pricing and differences on the BRZ when it's announced for Australia. |
