My girlfriend has a Nissan Pulsar, her problem really. Anyhow, last night she heard a slight static/funny sounding electrical noise and her dash lights and shift position lights next to her left leg both blacked out and are still not working. Would it be safe to assume that one fuse supplied power to both displays and has died?

Sam, reasonable starting point would be to check the fuses ..... if that doesn't work, you could look for a gf with a Soarer

n13s are known to have extremely •••• dashboard soldering jobs thanks to VDO.
if its not the fuse its the •••••• solder work on the dash, get an auto elec to look at it.
