I may be needing to get a Honda generator from Eltham 3095 (Vic) to Adelaide. 1) Is anyone coming over that may have spare room to bring a generator? 2) As it is unpacked, what would be the best way to get it to Adelaide?
I have requested a quote from Pack n Send, not had a reply yet though.

The seller can drop it to a depot within reasonable distance, and can wrap it in bubble-wrap and cardboard. Just not sure how freight companies will deal with that or whether they want proper carton packaging.

Thanks, I won the action, and got 2 quotes from Pack n send, best one was for $155 with the generator delivered to their depot and then they deliver to my place.
No real urgency, it's just for backup power, hopefully will never need it, but nice to know it's there just in case. If your mate could bring it, I would be very grateful, and could offer him a couple of bottles of really nice red wine.
I bought an ebay special a couple of years back, heap of junk, output was about half what it should be and dirty power at that. First the remote start died, then it just got harder to start. Then the battery died and it isn't a standard size that I could find anywhere with many searches.
A mate had better luck with his junk special, starts easily but recently stopped any output and reads "overload" all the time.
