BRZ is already sold out in Australia Jesse. They only brought 300 in for this year, priced at 37,990 i believe. Josh the car drives pretty damn good. Shifts awesome, throttle response is ridiculously good, maybe too good. transition to and from oversteer is amazing as well, not that I have taken it past 4k rpm yet lol, but you can still get the tail to wiggle

I don't think pics do them justice . The look ok in photos , much nicer in real life . Nice to sit in , too small for me though . Reminded me of mates gta 147

I recently drove a gts auto and quite liked the car as in the way it handled but I found the auto to be very indecisive and to controlling when you put it in paddle shift mode. I'm sure that the manual would be much nicer to drive from that stand point. But the thing I found really surprising was the lack of boot space and the boot trim finish it was just way smaller than I thought it would be and looked cheep and nasty

Yeah the boot space is terrible. Youll find that the manual is amazing. If this thing had ~50hp more it would surely be the best Toyota (Subaru) ever

Ahhhh, Alot of you may not realise, although the 86 was a bit of a performing let down...If you could afford an 86, then you could afford to go to Bullit performance and get one of their NEW ft-86 supercharge and tune packages....only around 6k..... Look em up!

Yeah but your talking 40-45k driveaway with a supercharger kit, plus you loose your warranty. Better off getting something that is quick out of the factory, not that there is a huge amount of choice if you want a sports coupe.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but just drove an auto 86 GTS. Very impressed with the way it went, more go than I thought it would have. Certainly not V8 grunt etc, but for what it is, it did the job. I dont see the issue with the boot space, what are people expecting, wagon space?? And the best thing for me is the missus likes it very much Take my word, thats a winner in our household

Get it Ian. Best thing about the car is that its so versatile. It can be stock daily, it can be a drift car, it can be a circuit car, it can be a drag car and it can be a hill climb car. So awesome

Its no good for me. I have trouble getting into and out of my Soarer, let alone the 86. The missus is looking for a possible replacement car down the track, and is leaning to get away from the big cars we usually have. Mainly town driving with a couple of trips to Adelaide a year. Fuel economy would be a great point for here, and rego costs. The one we looked at/drove has the body kit and wing, in pearl white. Current car is VE GTS, 20lt/100ks around town. Will see what happens.

I was actually surprised how well it went for a 2ltr engine, and even with the auto, it put in, and easy to drive around town. It would make a great traffic light weapon

Daniel the fact of the matter is that if you drive an 86 you dont care what anyone else is doing on the road. If its straight like grunt you want, $4000 for AVO Turbo kit and go smash some Cayman S's

Before I went for a spin in one Ali I would have laughed at your comment but now that I've been taken for a very "spirited" drive in one I'd wholeheartedly agree. What a car. They have that thing so dialled it's hard to believe. Don't bother looking for the numbers on this car, it's all about the smile the car puts on your dial. The handling is spot on and I'm used to driving a well sorted s5 rx7. The grip is awesome as well and by that I mean there isn't to much of it that you need to be doing 100 km/hr to get the tyres squirming but when they let go its so controllable you'll be drifting every time you go for a drive. As for out right speed it is surprisingly quick but as Ali has pointed out that's not what it's about. It's fast enough to be fun without getting you in trouble with the popo every time you put your foot in it. If I didn't already have two, two door coupes I'd seriously consider one as it's probably the most fun car I've ever driven. My hats off to toyota and Subaru. It's about time someone other than mazda realised that some car enthusiasts car more about having fun in a car than beating everyone else in there's.

Sebastian your comments are spot on. Daniel I would be happy to lose to an Aurion in a straight line everyday. As soon as he tries to punt that heavy ass fwd with all the power and 'comfort' suspension through the first corner, the 86 will be gone. Oh thats if he even makes the corner at speed.

I was behind a Kombi the other day at the lights. If they're in good condition they seem to be worth good money these days. The one I was behind had faded orange paint and a nice rustic theme going to it. Bit slow off the lights but they're not known for being nippy with the beetle motor

yes, its not bad, stock wheel/tire combo is crap some good rubber helped a lot, even then I would not swap for 86/brz it still feels like a sporty camry and sounds like ass in my opinion... would like to see a 3uz in one and an upper spec trim, then I might be interested

Hardly ever see the kombi now. I would pick an mr2 with 3s-gte any day of the week over the 86. I like the 86 but I don't like Subaru or its engine. To me its kind of a sell out. Would even prefer mr2 with the legandary 4a in it. At least ill get the real deal with a Toyota motor. Not just the badges and body.

As much as I don't like boxers the fact that it's so low and light definitely improves the handling. Any other engine would negatively affect the handling in my opinion.
