I just bought a 2007 Toyota Camry and in the service manual it says to change the brake fluid every 30,000kms.
I've never changed brake fluid this often in any of my cars before. Is this just because of moisture being absorbed into the the brake fluid and so reducing brake performance and thats why the service book is saying to change that regularly, and is this really necessary? Or is this required as proper maintenance like changing engine oil to prevent problems in the future?
Thanks for any advice. Doesn't sound like something i want to do every year or so, might be worth just taking it to a workshop if thats the case.

My guess would be just to keep braking fluid at its best. What kind of brake fluid does it use? I doubt it has anything to do with the seals. Most people do brake fluid every 2 years. If you drive 10,000km a year you will be doing it more often then what the manual states.
