the new vw golfs are actually quite sporty for what they are.....easily underrated...4 door, nippy, fun, make going to the shops and back less of a chore.
Agree with Shane. If the Mazda is too expensive (and the Golf is not) then go the Golf. Even the cheaper option is heaps better than the Vectra. The Golf could also be a cheaper alternative if you have the option of buying it after the 4 years.
Well we got the brand new 3.8 Alloytech V6 Equipe (a small step up from the Exec) and...
It have the 17'' mags, the SS 'Sport Suspension', a 6 CD in dash and electric windows all round, and backing sensors.
Our company deals are generally not the novated leases (i.e. no balloon payment at the end, just dump it) with everything paid for.
I must admit that it goes pretty well, for a Holden. It is ALMOST up to being as nice to drive as the Soarer, and is about the same size, with some real metal in case of dings. Admittedly the Soarer is still far more comfortable, economical and quieter. And why the frick can't all car makers put a wiper on the back window?! I luv my Soarer..
If you are going for the Golf, can you get the diesel version? apparently they go well.

Congrats on the promotion Don. The guys at work are fairly unanimous that the Falcon is a better proposition than the Commodore and thats what they all choose now. Its the engine and transmission that are the winners for it. If you can get it for the same or similar price for the pov pack Falcon, go for it. The VVT straight 6 engine's actualy quite fun, and the tip tronic trans works well with it.
Nice thing is, you won't have to worry about the depreciation and you can choose a trendy colour (lime?) and hand it back in three years time when it aint so fashionable anymore.
