OK now i have come from a Honda background of 10 years and am becomming used to my new V8 GT. The question is why in gods name is there so much CARPET on the interior. Its everywhere, door trims etc. Even the floormats look like my grandmas 1970's loungeroom carpet. Whats with that ?

Carpet is good - its hard waring, doenst tear or mark easily like plastic or vinyl, is a fantastic insulator, is fire resistant, and as noted muffles sound really well.

Don't get me wrong Brenton. I never go a leak in the cabin at all. My air con was stuffed, and even when it was working it didn't cool anywhere near enough. I had seriously modded that car up, but the plastic and creaking started to get to me. So glad I moved back to a Soarer.
