OK now i have come from a Honda background of 10 years and am becomming used to my new V8 GT. The question is why in gods name is there so much CARPET on the interior. Its everywhere, door trims etc. Even the floormats look like my grandmas 1970's loungeroom carpet. Whats with that ?

Carpet is good - its hard waring, doenst tear or mark easily like plastic or vinyl, is a fantastic insulator, is fire resistant, and as noted muffles sound really well.

Heh, yeah and what carpet you do get in a Honda usually rots away pretty quick, what with all the water leaking in and all...

My Prelude was fine, no leaks at all. Loved that little Red Rocket, but not as much as the Soarer!

Don't get me wrong Brenton. I never go a leak in the cabin at all. My air con was stuffed, and even when it was working it didn't cool anywhere near enough. I had seriously modded that car up, but the plastic and creaking started to get to me. So glad I moved back to a Soarer.

I should hope not! At least pull over on the side of the road and jump out if you can't wait.

That's why I have an empty coke bottle in there. It's not safe on the side of the road these days.

This reminds me of that scene from Dumb and Dumber where they get pulled over by a cop with open beer bottles... "You'll shut your mouth if you know what's good for you son... *gurgle*gurgle*spew*"
