| I think it's appropriate to start a new pets thread again, considering my fortune in finally finding an Irish Wolfhound pup. I have been looking for the last 8 months until I found him. For those of you that don't know, the Irish Wolfhound is the tallest breed of dog in the world(average height. THE tallest dog is a great dane named Gibson, 107cm). Average shoulder height is around 90cm for males. They are a sight hound, wiry haired, tall and muscular dog. Used centuries ago as a hunting dog, hunting wolf, irish elk, and wild boar, Today, they are a very laid back, friendly dog. Named the Gentle Giant. Anyhoo, here's a few pics of my little pup.
His name is Sire, is 8 weeks old, and already is 39cm high. He will grow around 5cm per week for the next 4 weeks, and slow down until eventually reaching full height at around 10 months of age. Amazing dogs. The parents are HUGE@!!!! but very affectionate and playful. I could only hope that mine turns out as good as them. Anybody else have any recent 4 legged additions to the family? |

| Yeah. Good thing he will be big enough to stand over my front fence and snatch toddlers/little yap-yap dogs, walking past....saves me with the food bill Unless you have a dog/catwith a 5th leg(in which case I would be extremely jealous), let's stick with 4 legs |

| So, you are prejudiced against two legs? None? Eight? (see the arachnophobic thread) Our cat has five legs: a full scale delivery system with no manufacturing plant |

| Poor litty puddy tat, no nuts. Makes it easier to lick its butt though. Get him some false ones, nice and big so he can hold his head up high down those ACT alleys. |

| I had a Kangaroo and a possum and currently have 3 dogs, 7 cats, 5 or 6 pet sheep, 2 pet lambs, 2 chooks, 4 ducks, 2 horses, 2 magpies (yes pet ones, they get along well with the cats) and about 400 sheep and 14 cows. Will post pics later. |

| I had an awesome galah until a few years back. He just died for no apparent reason . Autopsy couldn't even find out why. He was only 12, meant to live until about 50! He was a great burglar alarm (screech like buggery whenever some came around), could hold basic conversation and whenever my sister's cat went for him (daily), the cat always went away bleeding. Not to mention the fact that if anyone other than me tried to grab him, they'd lose a finger or two, made me feel kinda special |

| Sad thing is that after a whole 12 years, I only have 4 pics of Ralph, and they are all fairly average, ie lying upside sown in a spinach leaf, hanging upside down from the perch (begining to think he had an identity crisis, ie part bat!), completely drenched after gnawing a hole through the bottom of the STEEL water bowl and covered in dust after he shredded a house brick (don't ask). Can't find any of them though. Basically this was one bird you didn't want within a cooee of your fingers, ear lobes, or any other appendage for that matter. Where is Don's pet list |
