Brain diarrhoea alert:

What sends me into apeshit mode.. is that all the lower class rednecks who drive the beaten up cars spend so much money towards doing their car up bling style (as Ben Scrotum has said) which totals close to the $7000 mark for some cars.

You can get one of their typical redneck spec falcon or commodore for ~$3000 second hand.. a total of $10,000

Enter the Soarer. $10,000 gets you an average (but respectable) seksy car.

So its not like any Soarer owners are 'wasting' their money in a manner to cause this sort of disrespectful stuff, because the cars themselves are not expensive!

Friendly warning for you to just watch yourself there sonny. I have a zero tolerance for that joke. You have no idea what apeshit mode is until you've seen myself, or the old boy called that one too many times

Well Ben you can add Golden Grove to the list..
I live in Mitcham but i stayed at a mates place in Golden Grove last night, We got back there at about 4:30am this morning and when i went out to the car at 11:00am this morning some F&^KWIT had smashed my drivers side rear qtr window. The tint held the glass together but the damn glass break sensor on the alarm obviously did jack s^%t. Now i have to go searching for a new window and a way of finding the prick who did it.....

Reading all this makes my blood boil!!

The worst I've had since becoming a proud Soarer owner is having a group of 10 year old girls throwing fistfuls of dirt/stones at my car in the lovely suburb of Bethania (I'd feel safer in jail). The rush of adrenalin that it created almost made me swerve towards them, but my conscience told me to just give them the finger and move on. I wouldn't get much satisfaction out of running over or beating up 10 year old girls.

I had this problem with the benz, wankers always trying to bend the front emblem. A guy in Denmark managed to alarm his with a 155db screecher that aimed up at the offender from teh grille.

A guy in the US went one better, electrifying his using the 12volt battery and some sort of camera flash device to produce a truly shocking anti bogan device. Leaves burn marks apparently..

Harpoon from the grille aiming directly between his legs would be more effective.

I had some try and push a shopping trolley into me once. Fortunately I saw it coming and braked hard. Giggling as i watched the trolley roll across the road and slam into the side of her car.

Karma's a bitch.

Has anyone seen one of those James Bond style car security devices that some guy put on a beemer couple of years ago? Can't remember which country this was at but he installed a gas bottle in the boot, and hooked it up to the alarm system, if anyone tries to open the door, a big set of fire nozzles under the car will make some punk's lower body toast

Wouldn't the fire damage the paint as well? Or set the whole car on fire?

Well, the flame shot out sideways at high pressure like a metre away from the car, so no, it wouldn't damage the paintwork, unless the burning punk leans back on the car hehe.

Hmmmm, Greg, I don't wont to stress you too much but... I think we had a thread in the past about which window to smash if you locked your keys inside, in the middle of the desert. From memory this is the last window to smash because of the high cost of the glass, and a long pain in the a$$ replacement procedure. Good luck with it though, find a wreck with it in tact, I'm not sure how much it might cost to get it fitted though.

The window comes attached to the trim. Make sure you do not get a V8 one with the chrome trim because the glass is heat sealed to it. Also they come with a tiny bit of greenish tint or a gold tint. Make sure the one you get matches yours or it will stand out like dogs knackers when retinted.

Coulda been worse. At least you never grabbed the wrong one, fitted it and realised it looked odd after tinting.

Pardon my ignorance but can't you get anything and have it cut down to size?
Just need something with the right tint. Or am I missing something?

NO... The trim is actually attached to the glass and the curve stuffs it up. I tried car glass etc and the say they can't make it up. I found one in the end and it gets fitted tomorrow
