The result of the 24th birthday party I was at on Saturday night. The theme was "bogan". I wore ugh boots and a skirt...that's as bogan as I get.

Phil - I disagree - that looks suspiciously like premium imported beer (Heineken, Boags, Becks, Tuborg?) in his stubby holder - no self-respecting bogan would pay more than 35 bucks for a carton!
Mind you, I also notice Sam is drinking Coopers Pale...
However, I can imagine that the soundtrack to that party would have been nothing short of phenomenal...just think - Bon Jovi, Metallica, ACDC, Deep Purple, Motorhead, Meatloaf, Chisel... and I really hope they threw in some classic 80's hair metal as well, a bit of Warrant maybe, Poison too...
On the Bon Scott note, a mate of mine's ex's mum used to date Bon when they were like late teens, and still has love letters that he wrote her...I've not seen them, but I'm just envisaging the lyrics to "Sink the Pink" or something... |

Knowing Matt, it would've been Heineken. Bogan Party or not, I don't think any self respecting Perthy could stomach VB or Stones. Great party though, plenty of Stubby shorts (despite the fact that it was 8 degrees) with the occasional rogue testicle hanging out the side. Mullets, fake beer guts, double-pluggers and flannies. God, I love this country.

Haha, have you seen VB has jumped on the "premium/boutique" bandwagon with that VB Vintage/Heritage? comes in a stubby similar shape to Redback, with an old paper label, old-style fairly plain brown cardboard carton similar to the Tooheys Pils cartons...and a 45 dollar price tag - its still just VB!! |
