Wow. You just made me think there...and nope, was definitely a blue heeler in our ads, at least the one I'm thinking of. There may have been another series that had a collie though. |

There was a huge uproar about it in NZ as they played the add on TV1 (the "old fogie's" channel) and it generated a few broadcasting standards complaints. The Dog used in NZ was the same dog used in Lord of the Rings (the one that barks at the Ring Wraith, then hunches down and whines) a Collie cross of some sort. He's passed on now, but one of his offspring is still in the acting buisiness. |
