Yeah no kidding!! The kids I wouldnt be worried about.. but if that is oil based based paint.. then OMG! Latex (water based) based.. even some of that is toast!!
And I know for a fact that mine would do that LOL. Thats why when I paint in my house, the kids are NO WHERE around!!

This one time when I was four there was this green Mazda 1300, a four litre tin of PINK undercoat and two kids from down the road....
The rest is history. I think the turps bath hurt more than the flogging dad gave me. Trying to blame it on my (clean) two year old sister didn't help much either.
OH SH!T! I have a four year old son. I hope there is no such thing as karma. Soarer and Rx-7 cost a bit more than a Mazda 1300.

My sister just bought a Camry and her 4 and 5 year old spent all afternoon riding their scooters up the bonnet, over the roof and down the back. They had a great afternoon with the Toyota. They don't have many privileges after that effort. Scratches everywhere.

LOL Katrina, that reminds me of my brother and I when we were young. Only we used a bag of flour instead, and needless to say it was all over us and the kitchen!

Not quite as bad, but a few years back I dropped a 1L tin of beige oil based paint on the back porch. My sisters cat walked right through it and then proceeded to do a lap of honour around the house, over the new wool carpet, tuscan sandstone and german oak. Mad dash with the turps was needed before mum got back!
The cat hated getting unintentionally wet (would go swimming, but didn't want other people to get it wet, go figure?!?) so we took her to the vet, who had to give her a general anisthetic to wash her feet coz she wouldn't stop wriggling!
