Right......now Im not one for farking around, but yesterday a good friend whom I trust and respect told me about his encounter!!! Of course, teh pessimist I am, basically assumed it to be a remote controlled device or some other Him, his GF and his brother witnessed it. I know his brother well, and he (and his brother) both admit they are having trouble getting their heads around wht they saw. Basically becasue it moved just tooooo fast in multiple directions. There were eight of them as well. Basically described as circular, making a noise like wind rushing. They moved throught the air in a back and forward motion that he describes as 'not possible', not possible at all and regards the acceleration as 'mindblowing'. There were the usual lights and windy effects, but what interested me was that the light reflected onto the shiny fence and bounced back towards the craft, but did not light itself up. Anyway, I made a joke that it was probably the air force military tests etc...you know, they always have aliens and rockin up near stealth bombers in the US.
Anyway, I read the paper this morning and wouldn't you believe it. The first ever B2 Stealth bomber to enter our country lands in Darwin. Not 30kms from where he sighted the crafts. Im going down there now with the 30-30 to see if I can get even a fragment off one of em. Im pretty sure they are some sort of drone craft created by humans of course. Im a skeptic, so you could say this is scientific. But really I just wanna be the first crazy mofo to take down an alien and/or craft. And lets face it, Im always first to put my hand up if it involves shooting something...... would be nice to have soem more firepower, and if I do finally make my own sighting, I'll be borrowoing a few devices that went missing from Robertson Barracks. (At last audit, two Abrams, an ASLAV and of explosives, small arms and several anti tank and AA weapons are unnacounted for.....)
Stay tuned......if this works I could be like steve irwin, but with aliens. Crikey!

A few years ago I saw some slowly moving lights in the sky over Geraldton, along with about half the town. 3 orange lights maintaining an isosceles triangular formation, but no substance between the lights - you could see the starts between them. No noise, but they couldn't have been higher than about 2000ft. They eventually drifted out to sea after an hour or so.
There was an article in the paper about them a couple of days later, where some council official was saying they were kids sending up garbage bags with candles under them. My arse they were. The lights everyone saw didn't have any sort of flicker at all - definitely not anything like candles. And there's no way anything launched by some kids could stay in a perfect formation like that for an hour.

Bah, I've spent a lot of years looking at the night sky and seen all sorts of weird things - birds flying high in the last rays of the sun, military aircraft with unusual lighting arrays, meteors and meteorites, satilites, space shuttles, Wild Fire, even ball lightening once.
A lot of those things would have made a lot of people think UFO, but no, they are all perfectly explainable natural or man made happenings.

How freaky is that, probally when i was 16 or 17 me and my cousin, Aunts, Uncles, Family Friends.
Witnessed what you said as well, it was well above 2000ft though, they were there for about half hour or more, then all of sudden all 3 yellow lights in their triangular formation took off really really fast. It happened to be New Years eve aswell.
A couple days later aswell it ended up in the local paper, cant remember if they had an excuse for what it was.
This was on NSW south coast.
I still dunno what it was, but pretty weird how Adam barry seen the same thing in W.A.

I was driving along the other day minding my own business when in front of me appeared two white lights which grew larger and larger until they were almost upon me, then without warning they changed to red and disappeared off into the distance behind me. Some freaky sh1t right there peoples.

well, went out last night and saw nothing resembling aliens, but i did get a look at teh area in the daylight today. Theres definately some wierd marks in the trees, like wind has pushed them in a direction and frozen. It weird to look at. Is there some kooky UFO groups that like to hear reports about possible UFO sightings. Im going back again tonight. They are launching a massive air combat training session tonight covering Darwin, Katherine, Tindal and teh Curtain airfields. Malaysia, England, and someone else in involved. Im sure these are some sort of remote controlled drones. I dont believe in aliens or UFO's, but id still like to get to the bottom of this!!!

look here Aaron, I could explain what you saw, but if I did, I'd have to kill you, and if I did it via the Forum, I'd have to kill all the members, seize the logs, and kill everyone who'd read the thread.... now I'm a peace-loving spook, and I hate the sight of blood, so I'm just going to say, forget all those rationalisations (it was kids with hot air balloons, it was Stealth bombers etc. etc.) the truth is much more bizarre than that......and when you find it out, you are going to die!

Actually you can make 'lights' hold a stable formation.
A couple of years ago myself and a couple of friends got a tad creative while on the piss for New Years Eve. We got some black balloons, straws, string, a few AA batteries and some high intensity LEDS. Pumped the balloons with helium he got from the radio station and put it all together and let her fly. Looks heaps cool and the LEDS last a bloody long time. Boredom does strange things to men.

Poor Don When Adam was saying that the triangle of lights couldn't have been kids letting of homemade hot air balloons because of the perfect triangle and no flickering, I thought you could easily attach the balloons together! And I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to get a heat source that doesn't flicker! It's not exactly rocket science, OK maybe drunken attempts at rocket science

So you reckon a few idiot kids in GERALDTON would rig up some LEDs, plus kilometres of rigid bracing between the three lights, and then somehow get this massive assembly into the sky? Somehow I really doubt it. Whatever it was we saw up there, it was HUGE - at least a kilometre across, possibly more.

In 1978 my mother and sister say a large UFO over Collaroy Plateau. They were driving from Beacon Hill at 11am on a Saturday morning with no clouds in the sky. The UFO was hovering in the air and they described it as a large metallic cigar shape object larger than a Jumbo jet. The sun was reflecting off the object and as they were watching, it took off at great speed and disappeared over Narrabeen Heads in a matter of seconds. They observed four bright red lights emitting from the rear of the craft as it sped away. The Manly Daily reported later that many other people in the area has observed the same object.
