| Old man's 70 Dodge Challenger, complete with built 440 and built 727 trans. Goes like hell. Just needs a paint job and some rechroming to be one badass ride. He's selling it though.. too many cars and it's just too fast.
His 66 Mustang GT convertible gets back from the painter today. Took us a while to put that one back together. Now pristine. I'm gonna steal it for a while in summer. 69 Corvette convertible is in the body shop. Bit of work needed for that one. After that he's got an old '57 Chevy that needs a new paint job and a bunch of chrome. Beautiful motor in it.. 355 with a decent cam and a turbo 700.
The container with my '55 is now a week late - should get in a week from tomorrow. It and a nice little '68 Mustang Sprint with a 302.

| I dunno, a bunch. The Challenger isn't going to get finished. Being sold as is. Just about all the mechanical work is done... well, overdone really! He's selling it without the paint done so the buyer can see it's an honest original body. The paint is cracking and faded, but there's only one little bubble and the rest is solid. No dings anywhere. At all. Miraculous. I wish he was keeping it, those things look amazing painted with stripes down the side. It's just more than what he wants. I reckon with the right carby and rubber it would have to pull 11s all day long. He said the Mustang looks awesome. Only pic I have at the moment is the interior.

I think it's obvious that the blue/white '55 is by far the nicest car of the bunch. Hmmph! After it gets here I need to pull the body off the frame and spend a few weeks cleaning it all up. He's got me outnumbered and outclassed for now, but I'm planning another trip in a while. I think he wants a batmobile. Sadly the '57 tbird fell through. The VIN plate was gone so it wasn't really a good move. I'd really like to find another one though and make it look like this
Or with the porthole top

| Apparently they are making a new Challenger?!? From the picture I saw, it looks much the same as the '74 model. |

| Yeah it's insane. I'd give my left nut for one with a hemi. Looks like the 70 R/T to me. The 74 was one ugly slow car, imho. |

| I hope they don't screw this up like they did the Charger. The original concept rear end on the Charger was good. The final result is not great at all. Build the Challenger just like that. |

| Don't know if I'll make it to georgia. I was in Tucson today and now in Pheonix (Arizona) was a lovely 45 deg today. Here for a day or two, then off to Memphis for a couple of day's. Hopefully heading over to Oshkosh next week. I suppose you'd call it a working holiday. |

| Well, the trip continues. Unfortunately the leads for the camera are still in OZ, so no pics till I get home. Finished in Phoenix, Got a flight yesterday to Nashville, tennessee, and drove up today to some little yokel town. Dresden. In the north west of tennessee. Drove about 200 miles sitting on about 90-100 Miles per hour (150-160K's) and never got pulled up once. I love America. Saw a proper traffic Jam today. A beer truck rolled over on the freeway and was blocking the whole road, (fortunately it was not the direction we were going. The jam was about 30 K's long ethe police diverted the traffic, then there was another jam about 30 K's long where police were diverting all the freeway traffic up some little side street. And there are heaps of really really obese people over here. It's terrible. NEway, That's all for now. Pic's upon my return. Fare well, my friends. Dan. |

| Hey Dan, Looking forward to seeing your pics! Shedloads of obese people here too, no surprise given the staple diet of fried chicken and massive serving sizes..the worst I have come across is the Hooters chicken wings, made both Stu and I feel rather ill. Oh and my thoughts of the Hooters gals has changed quite a lot..must have been on a bad night when I went first up |

| Just read in today's paper.. a man died of a heart attack after riding the rollercoaster Goliath. According to the paper the man was alive and conscious when he got on the ride (well I would hope so). I wasn't exaggerating about how scary that ride is. |

| Dying on the job so to speak. We all have to go sometime so that way is as good as any so long as the woman underneath can escape. Going in your sleep is probably the best you can ask for. Any other suggestions on this morbid but natural subject? |

| Dying amid orgasm sounds rather good, in that you would hardly notice. Her view on the event might be different but at least you would not have to suffer any recriminations . On the other hand, if she did the dying, you need never admit to anyone that it took you a while to notice I think what most of us might wish for is is not to have time to think "Damn. I'm about to die right now." which comes after the wish not to have time to think "I am currently being eaten." Not that I have anything else against sharks. |

| While on the off topic, I recall that in Queensland a couple of years ago a skindiver was killed. I was in Brisbane the next day and saw the banner headline: quote:"He died doing what he loved."

| I guess that would make her a dead root ...anyway...having lunch today and a woman sat behind me who was a cross between Nanny Fine and George Costanza's mothers. Loud too, asked the waitress the most stupid questions..and then, gets on the good old cell phone....and proceeds to talk just as loudly, with her mouth absolutely chocker block of food...AAHHHHHHHH |
