Hey guys im looking into a set of big fat heavy ass 20" chrome wheels for my Soarer TT (JZZ30)

I want to know from people that have 20's as to how their ride feels and handles.

Also I am getting a set of 36 way G4 Adjustable Coilovers all around with 14kg fronts and 10kg rears.

I need coilovers cause I use a set of lightweight 17's with semi's for thrashwork (trackwork)

So this being said, would this fit my car -

Size: 20 x 8.5"
Stud Pattern: 5 x 114.3
Offset: 35

Those specs are for the front and rear for the 20's.

Thanks guys.

Yes, they will fit, but they will scrub on the front guards if lowered too far.
I've never put a 35mm offset rear on mine so can't say what they'll do.

They'll probably cause a bit of tramlining as well.

I had 20's on my old soarer with low coilovers and it handled perfect but you should reroute the wiring harness that goes over the front drivers side wheel arch because as soon as you hit a bump it cuts the whole harness good fun in the dark when your headlights just turn off doing 80km

Yep. Just beware of that wiring harness on the driver's side wheel arch. Noticed the ride was rougher compared to my 18's though.

The bonnet release cable is up there as well - behind the guards. I had my guards removed with 19"s and then one day wrapped the bonnet cable around the front right after hitting a large depression in the road... ...The force ripped it from it's connection on the inside...Lots of fun..

Ok thanks for the responses guys, good to see what people think.

Also the wheels are available in a +15 offset.

What do you suggest ? Stick with +35 all around ? or will +15 fit all around ?

Or maybe a combination of both, I have no idea what offets mean n stuff haha :S

+15mm offset is even worse. Avoid those like the plague. Aim for 45-50mm as Toyota suggests.

Ah good news I was speaking to a mate of mine who showed me 20" wheels that come in +42 Offset !!

www.zinikwheels.com

They have some nice wheels

My mate is a dealer for them here in Australia therefore I'll be getting a set some time down the track when I've decided on the style.

It's pretty rare for me to have the car out, but was probably me. I'm the only one (apart from Daniel) with this kit on the streets at the moment.

Hey Simon, how did you get those 285's tucked under the rear fenders?

What offset are the rims and have the fenders been rolled? Doesn't look like you're running much of any negative camber to me.

I love the mirror that you call your car.

The wheels are +45mm offset (close to factory spec) and the guards have not been rolled. If I lower the car enough, it will scrub slightly if going over a large bump. With 275 tyres, it does not scrub at all (I've tried both widths).
Not running much negative camber at all... I want the tyres to last as long as possible, so just told the alignment guy that, and he set it up for maximum wear.

Thanks for the compliments. That's factory (11 year old) paint.
