Might as well find another diff? I've never had a diff go on me before but I'm pretty sure the open wheelers are pretty cheap from the wreckers (or you can go find a Torsen one if you're game).

Yeah, you'll be up for at least $450 in labour, and that is providing that you supply the parts and remove and re-install the diff your self. See if you can find a decent 2nd hand unit, I actually know of a decent V8 diff up for grabs PM me for more info.

I have a LSD. That's why I thought of reconditioning it. Looks like its not a cheap option. Anyplace anyone recommend I can get a quote from, in Victoria?

Thanks guys! When I'm changing the Diff should I put new oil in it too? If so what oil would you recommend?
ABSOFCUKINGLOUTELY!!!
Never know what kind of crap might be lurking in there, you wouldn't fit a 2nd hand engine or gearbox without changing the oil would you?
Oil type depends on the diff. I'm just running the basic castrol diff oil in my open wheeler atm. If you go LSD you HAVE to use lsd oil. (At risk of this turning into another oil related thread where everyone jumps on board) Just use your own judgement or ask the dudes at your local auto store.
