Can anyone tell me where the TRD LSD's are available from? Or even a Torsen for that matter? It has to be a complete diff for a TT though, as im sure mine has lots of things broken in it at the moment. CHeers, Daniel. p.s. Whether brand new or second hand, i understand the price of these things.

Hey Mate, Neil has a Torsen Type 2 Centre availble. (There the strongest) TRDs Centres are availble from Toyota. A complete Torsen Diff from Toyota is very very very expensive. I see that your after a complete Torsen Diff though. Have you checked your current diff. Your crown wheel and pinion might be ok and your centre might just be stuffed. If thats the case you can get Neils Torsen Type 2 Centre. I bought a complete JZA80 N/A Torsen the other day. I believe the same guy has another complete diff but its a 2way diff locker. ( Something along those lines ) I think their designed for drifting though? If your interested in that one i can give you the phone number. But i think it makes the car quite unpredictable going on what another Soarer Club member told me. I think you should check out your current diff and see what is broken, before you do anything. If its just your centre, you can just get Neils and put it in.

I dont really have the time to remove it and inspect it at this stage I am so limited with time and moving soon. This so couldnt have happened at a worse time. Lets say that this would fix my problems, Neil how much for the centre? Or even how much to get the centre fitted into my housing so i can just come back home and install it? Cheers mate.

I have just destroyed my TORSEN diff . Went on the local drag strip on friday night street car only event. Got to the staging area up against a white R32 GTST skyline and staged up. The white skyline was as stock as my car was except I had up'd the boost to 14 PSI so I should have an easy win. It was my first run of the night for me and the lights flicked on the tree. I didnt stall up my car I just chucked it into 1st gear and put the foot down and instantly it started diff hoping! The suspension in the rear was just so stiff that it couldnt help but bounce the suspension in the back and by the time I had backed off the damage was already done. I haven't inspected the damage yet but I could tell you now that if your Torsen lets go it will sound more like a big grinding crunching sound then a bang. At least I made it to the end and off the track. Time it goes into hibernation and gets some serious work done to it I think.

why do people bother with second hand torsens, just get a new TRD, especially if you plan on racing it. The TRD mechanicals are stronger! Ive had a TRD in for a few months now, and nothing but praise for it, 1250 to my door, ex japan, via EMS, bought off Yahoo.

TRD Centres are clutch type and prone to wear, where torsen just break basically lol (if your unlucky like me). So i couldnt see the point of buying another TT Single spinner and a TRD Centre for it, Eventually its just gonna wear. Id rather buy Neils Type 2 Torsen. But once again i also needed another Diff Housing to put the centre in. So the LSD Torsen i found for sale was the cheaper option. Daniel the Supra N/A Torsen cost $770 but then had to pay $100 for delivery from Melbourne to Sydney. So $870 in Total. So was still a Fairly good price. Im gonna Assume the Axle tramp i was getting played abig part in the Crown Wheel and Pinion breaking Then abit of that chipped away One Tooth of the the actual centre. If i went around it the cheap way, i probally still coulda used the LSD Centre with one broken tooth. But i knew eventually it would give way. BTW Neil got my car back, Niall fitted the Bushes, I havnt really gave it to yet. As i had work party last night. But i tried 1st to 2nd once and It didnt seem to Tramp at all.

Brett... Seems my Crown and Pinion are Shot. So a Centre change is useless for me unless i get a stock tt diff. SO I am trying to get a whole Unit if one can be found( Shane got the last one in Vic,lol). Unless i can get hold of a cheap Stock TT diff and then get the Centre fitted, That would be good and an option also... You dont have an old TT diff lying around you could put together Neil? I have rang over 30 places in Sydney, 7 in Vic and 4 in Qld. I have 3 guys calling me in the morning so im hoping BIG TIME....
