| Here is what I'm looking at for getting some new rims for the Soarer. I like the look of shadow chrome with the polished lip. What does everyone think? |

| 8cm's of the sweet, sweet dish. :-D I'll check the offset... apparently it's +45. Will that allow for TT calipers when I upgrade? (and can find some...) 18 x 8.5 front and rear. 235's I'm thinking of 18 x 9.5 with 265's at the rear, but that could be excessive for normal city driving, and expensive. |

| Hi Ashley, I'm have VS-SS Work rims with +45 offset with these tyres: 235/40R18 - Front 265/35R18 - Rear Which still clear the stock V8 calipers but not sure about the TT calipers. |

| Cool. Well I'll be keeping the stock calipers for the time being. I'm painting them red and getting some Malkin Braided hoses for them (now the special is on!) Hopefully they clear... |

| I would but the rest of the car is filthy and very embarrassing. We get about 5 mins of rain all week and it just happens to be while my car is parked outside at the aircon fixing place. (it's undercover all day at work) So you'll all have to wait until the weekend... Oh, and yes, it's goodbye Nissan Rims, hello pimp factor. I'm ecstatic, so I know what you mean. Damn they look so nice! Also, show us your UZZ32, I'm jealous. |

Don't you hate that! Either rain for more than 5 minutes or don't bother! Seems like we have similar plans on the weekend. I am lowering the car, cleaning it, then filling up a memory card with pics. I will post back when im done. |

Yep, that's what I've got planned. Except the lowering... Too much hassle and my headers already scrape sometimes... :-( |

Looking good Ashley, but im sure your missing the nissan rims just a little bit Shots did come out well, what camera are you using? I have a Canon 20D digital SLR at my disposal which kicks a$$! Should only take me a short while to lower it, the 32's are easy to do. What headers you got? Rush? What size did you go for? |

| It was sad to seem them go. At least I'm not know as the adelaide guy with Nissan Rims anymore! I felt so out of place at the last meet. I've got a Canon Powershot S80. Awesome point and shoot camera! Yeah, got the rush headers. 1 3/4". And I've had them ceramic'd as well. |

Thanks Ashley, I really want a set but im not sure what size to go for as im still deciding wether to blow it or not. Decisions, decisions... Was the ceramic worth it? Cost? |

| Cheers Daniel! Get the larger 1 3/4" so if you ever get a blower it's not an issue. I'd love a blower, but maybe in a few years, so I got the larger ones. Ceramic from memory (don't have the paper work with me) was around $300 for a single coat. You can get a double coat for around double the price, but you don't really gain much heat loss. The car does run nice and cool now though. PM me and I'll hook you up with the place in Adelaide that does it (I think it's the only one and not in the phone book). |

| Hmm if I can get my hands on an after market height controller, watch me dump the biatch! If I drop it while anymore now I'll scrape the headers... and I'm not risking that. I'd rather something I can adjust to a reasonable height while I'm driving. |

My new rear mufflers should be here today so the next stage is to look into headers. I will have a think about the ceramic coating. Also im in Victoria so it would probably be expensive to ship them over and back just to do the coating, im sure there is someone who can do it over here? Oh and I lowered my car on Saturday but it still needs to come down a bit more so I will have another crack at it on the weekend. Pics will follow that. |

| I'm sure there is a place in Vic that can do it! When I get spare time (over Xmas) I'm going to look at lowering the car. Apparently it's very easy. That's assuming I'm not pulling the engine apart, playing the with Nintendo Wii, Final Fantasy XII or kicking the transmission to pieces because it's stuffed... |

It is. I followed Peter Scott's instructions which are for both the UZZ31 and UZZ32. http://planetsoarer.com/lower/Lower.html It took about 1.5 hours to do but as I said I want it a bit lower so I will have to go through it again. Just give yourself enough time and make sure whatever you do to one side you do to the other! |
