I have a knock that only comes when i go over certain bumps in the road. Anyone else had a similar problem.

Yes sam it means your rear dampners are screwed.. only option is to replace the rear struts.

Could also be the rear sway bar knocking on the exhaust.

I had the exact same thing and it just got worse over time. Found that my rear TEINS had been leaking and were basically stuffed. Replaced with a set of OEM struts and no more knocking.

A good start is to inspect the struts for oil leaks. Leaks = stuffed strut.
If the sway bar and connecting links haven't fallen off yet then sway bars and control arm bushes are relatively common too.

My rears were leaking, but not knocking. New ones were much better!!
