Guys, What can I say, I've just had Neil fit a set of steering rack and lower Vlamos bushes to my UZZ91, what a difference they make. No more tram lining and loud noises from the front end. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to get that new car feel back. Thanks Andrew and Neil.

Travis,
Changing them is straightforward if no bolts are seized, you have the previous experience and exactly the right tools, i.e. often a right pain in the proverbial. Unfortunately the average suspension place often butchers the job and charges you for the privilege. I have used and am very satisfied with;
WILKINSON SUSPENSION CENTRE 81 Beechboro Rd Bayswater (08) 9370 2646
(no I do not work for them) they know Soarers (10+ years), have fitted VFT bushes, do an excellent job and charge very reasonably. They also have the special tool for the rear uppers.
Let them work out the alignment spec, they are geniuses at it. I have tried various online experts alignment settings and every time I have let Wilkinsons do a car with the settings they advised it has ended up a lot better. Many of the alignment specs on the Web for Soarers are complete bollocks. The best real world settings are often slightly asymmetrical left to right and a lot of the on line numbers give you fractionally sharper turn in at the expense of halving your tyre life.

Roger, I woudn't say they are complete bullock but you're right about the alignment settings. Pedders in Hornsby do the same but use the settings as a start.

Dan, It's not essential but the rear uppers should be pressed in with an SST because of the toothed shape of the bush edge. Andrew Vlamos can have these machined up for you for about $50 as the wait from Toyota could be a bit long. Not absolutely essential but if the workshop does not have one I would order it with the rear upper's. The tool is reusable, I gave mine to Wilkinson's to save other people in WA the cost/hassle. If you post a request, someone can probably help out.

I believe Griffo may have one....I remember sending one to Manny, not sure about this now and if it was passed on down the line not quite sure who ended up with it

Guys just a quick Q. given the fact that there is some interchange of parts between soarer & Supra is it possible that some of vlams bushes might be of value to supra owners?
