| You have Tein springs front and stock rears? Anyway, most wheel&tyre/suspension places will sell them. |

I am also wondering this, as you are able to get low king springs and then there are super low, apparently low drops the car 25mm and stupid low is 50mm. Are people able to show side on pictures of their cars ride height with what suspension they have? (Sorry for hijack) |

| Kim, since found out that front centre of wheel to guard fronts are 360mm and rear are 350mm |

| King Springs make the car the perfect height, it's just gorgeous !!!!!!! Heaps lower than stock. 17" rims with 45 profile tyres leaves a very small gap between the wheel arch. |

| They ARE a bit sloppy though !!!!!!! - Very Comfy to ride on, dont get me wrong, a bit like a '31 on SPORT with ECT set to NORM. I love 'em on the street for comfort and legal height but the other super low, super stiffs will go back in for each track day If you like your ride STIFF you'll be dissapointed with King Springs. |

| hmm that means I can finally find out if my car has been lowered or not as it seems lower than other cars. *runs outside* heh 360mm front and 350mm rear with stock 16" TT rims (225/50/16).... I think I now know why the car scrapes sometimes with people in the car. Just a question while we are on the topic of springs also. If I was to get larger rims, would my ride height change? |

| Just what I was thinking Vinh! As for the stiffy issue, I get one every time I look at my car with the new King Springs in Fairly sure they are the silly low ones as my chassis rails are only about 90mm off the deck. And as for their stiffness, you know the test for dead shocks where you pump the front of the car up and down and see how many times it bounces? Well they are so stiff you can't even push it the whole way down, even with 2 people on the bonnet! |

| King Springs only make 1 set of springs for ZZ30... and they are just low.. no super lows were produced... |

Only if the overall diameter increases mate. I had 18"s with 235 rubber before, and upgraded to 20" with 225 rubber. The ride height dramatically changed in my opinion. |

| I got this info from King Springs direct: King Springs Part No's KTFL-109 (front - 425lb/") & KTRL-110 (rear - 210lb/") to lower your vehicle approximately 35-40mm from factory std height. These coils are designed with an increase in spring rate of approximately 25%. To get the spring rate into kg/mm, divide lb/in by 56(from memory). Therefore fronts are 7.58kg/mm and rears 3.75kg/mm. As you can see these are a lot softer than most coilovers and this is probably the reason so many people like the ride when paired with good OEM struts. Maths gurus please feel free to correct my conversion. |

| Uhh... So does this mean they are stiffer than stock suspension? My stock suspension (TT with TEMS) is pretty hard (Track day setting), but because the car is so heavy, it still bounces quite a bit. I'm planning to get these King Springs this week, but if spring rate is only a tiny bit noticable, might just go coilovers. |

| Mine are a fair bit stiffer than stock as far as I am aware, then again my stock struts were rooted so I replaced them at the same time so my opinion might be tainted somewhat. |

| Is removing the suspension straight foward? 3 bolts on top, 1 at the bottom? The spring won't pop off on me will it, unless you undo the middle bolt on the top? |

Yes 25 % stiffer (approx) than stock but not bone jarringly stiff like coilovers can be. (12kg/mm is what the 'experts' recommend for coilovers. These are about 7kg/mm) |

| removing suspension. hahaha its straight forward in theory. but it took me the best part of 2 days. and a few snapped tools. worth a try though if you are well equipped. |

Get yourself some spring compressors and do it properly, if you don't know what you are doing pay someone to do it for you. If you bugger it up taking it out, yes the slinky can pop off, and if it comes at you you'd better have good health insurance coz you will need it if it doesn't kill you |

| Bugger it up taking it out? How can the spring pop off if I don't undo the middle top bolt? Don't scare me... I am just taking them out, then taking it to a suspension shop to put the springs on. Don't wanna pay $300-400 for labour. Thats what I got quoted from 2 places, so all I'm paying for is the springs ($320), and about $80 to fit the springs on. |

| You might be thinking of coil-overs, where the spring is part of the suspension strut. On a standard strut the spring sits between the seat on the shock absorber and the body of the car. The nut you are referring to (I think) is the nut that attaches the shock absorber to the mount on the body. This does not retain the spring. Spring compressors are used to clamp the spring in the compressed position, stopping the spring from letting loose when you remove three top bolts. Take a look at the pic in this thread and you'll see that there is no seat for the spring at the top of the stock strut. http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/messages/292/107247.html?1162685051 |

| The three outside nuts hold in the complete strut, the middle bolt holds the top spring seat to the shock. I've never seen a spring let loose by just removing the outside three nuts. Can take some photo's tonight of struts keeping the springs happily in place if needed. |
