You should have settled for a set of Teins to start off with, it would have been reasonably cheaper...but now that you already have the springs, im sure you can still get Teins shocks....but then again, im not much of a GooRoo like the others here
Yeah I know, I was keen on getting a set of Teins but I figured that if I've got the right height that I wanted the car at I wouldn't be changing it again. Been looking at a set of KYB GR-2's that seem to do the job ($153 each) or KYB Super Special ride adjustable shocks (about $630ish for the lot then add freight).

I got rebuilt/specc'd Tein HA's. Very good street shock, good enough for basic lap sprinting. I still retain a pretty stockish ride height, i.e. still legal, can take speed humps without slowing down to under 5kms. Can firm em up/lower em for track use.
Aaron, did you get them rebuilt yourself or did you get them like that already? I've got a set of Kei-Office coilovers sitting here with me but they're driven to buggery. I asked around to get them rebuilt and no one wants to touch them either *sigh*
Nickel, not yet but I will have a few by the end of today

Mate i gotta say that really does look hot...if i were you i would keep it that height provided your a man who likes to watch how fast he goes over speed bumps, and observes the road carefully in advance.
Reason why i say that is because, if your not what i mentioned above, you can actually damage the lines that run under the guards by the tyre constantly rubbing up against the guards.
It hasn't happened to me because i have 265's on my rears and mine hit the end of the guards instead of the inner side, but i did read up on it on a site which i have forgotten now...that it did happen to someone and a couple of other people as well by having the car lowered too much and the tyres scraping out the guards and eventually hitting the eletrical cables i belive that run under the guards.
What ever your final decision...the look on the car as is now...is absolutely brilliant and hot
Smotan I'll keep you updated on the spring situation (will find out on tuesday).
Ali, I know exactly what you're on about mate. The car rides nice and firm up front, seems to go pretty well with the stock shocks even at this height (although I would like it a little bit firmer) but I'm still cautious of irregularities in the road and speed humps (so far the car's been a champ). It's actually not as low as my old Soarer was (the rubbing started to eat away the fender lining) but I'm also considering re-routing the wiring (there was talk of it on here IIRC and on other forums too).
An old pic for reference...

Had the car raised at the rear a slight bit, rides beautifully, just like stock. Still looking for a set of firmer shocks though (still feels floaty... just less floaty). So the final ride height drop is 2" front and about 1.25" rear... sensible ride height.
Here's some pics, I'm a happy boy
Lowish ride height and still legal One minor scrape over a high short speedhump... you know the ones...
