Hey guys, I recently purchased a set of Tein SS struts to replace my airbag system. My problem is sourcing some new spring hats (the part that bolts to the strut tower up top?) So i was wondering what anyone else has used if they have fitted this suspension. I was hoping maybe the tops of TT struts would fit? Can anyone point me in the right direction on this? Thanks in advance.

you can buy aftermarket strut tops, some of which come with a spherical bearing/pillow ball for mounting the shock/strut. if you are so inclined you could make your own - if you're handy with working with metal or know someone that is. there are plenty of people capable of doing this fairly cheaply and most -real- suspension outfits can recommend a good design (or you could cad one up and get it cnc milled). otherwise adapt standard strut tops to do the job for you. easy! hehe
if you decide to go custom, perhaps speak with john wills at suspension technology - he's a suspension god and does heaps of stuff like this and can point you in the right direction. http://www.suspensiontechnology.com.au/home.html

i was under the impression that teins came with pillow ball upper mounts, but some coilovers come with nothing so i'm not 100% sure...
the 30-series soarer (not the uzz32) share essentially the same chassis and suspension as the mkIV/jza80 supra and yes supra shocks will "fit" our soarers. the downside is that the supra and soarer really do require different valving though because of the vast differences in weight and its distribution (and other variables...). if you're in the market for shocks buy jzz shocks cos they suit teh car!
