Hey guys I am looking in to rims soon, probably 18's.

thought if everyone can post up their rims, kind of a little library. Be nice to know what looks good and what not

be sure to mention rim size

Here's my set of 19's... and in real life they look like 17"'s on the big Soarer lol :-)

The rear sticks out a bit even with the chubby Bomex side skirts/rear pods.

What is so hard?

You can just type the link straight in, though occasionally some web page links have dodgy characters, so preferably just use the Link icon (small image of planet and chain link) then paste your URL into there.

Not hyper-linking, remote-linking. Embedding images in your post which are hosted externally from the SoarerCentral site. I tried to follow the FAQ about inserting images but it didn't seem to like it :-(

That would be the thumb icon, 4th from the right just above where you type.

However... There will probably be issues with your imageshack links as they are dynamic pics that resize depending on your browser window size etc. Any other hosted image should work fine.

If you look at your link, it isn't just to an image, it's to a php script that generates the image.

But, it's actually better to upload the picture here, so that if it's removed from the hosted site, or they are down or anything else happens, we don't end up with busted links.

I have occasionally thought of removing the thumbnail capability for that reason.

However... If you view your imageshack pic, then right-click and select properties, the actual real link is there which can then be cut/pasted to the thumbnail function.

Ok, the thumbnail icon was exactly what I was looking for - I'll know to use this in future, thansk Peter. With imageshack you can get the direct picture link either by right-clicking on the PHP page or copying it down when you first upload. I simply linked to the php script as I had resolved to the fact that people will be clicking on it :-)

I have my own domain and hosting for use otherwise. If you're concerned about broken links any chance of upping the attachment limit a little more than ~150kb?

EDIT: I think we've sorted out our differences here, and we're kind of cluttering up the thread. I've learned what I need to know so feel free to ditch the intermediary posts to keep the thread tidy if you see fit.

Kieran, I don't mind leaving the posts there as someone else might also learn from it :-)

150Kb is fine for quite decent quality images, you may just need a better compressor. I use Ulead Smart Saver 3.0 which is terrific. If you look around, you will find many really good quality images on the forum all under 150Kb - and some lousy ones too. :-(

Yeah, the above picture is about 110kb and it's of not bad quality.

Offset is +41 all-round, though they will stick out quite a bit if not lowered so theres more camber to tuck the wheels in.

And sorry, it's 17x9 at the front and 17x10 rears.
