I've had my Torsen in for a whole of three weeks so far and I feel compelled to send a message to everyone out there with a Soarer with an open wheeler diff... You all need to buy a Torsen... now... why are you still reading this and not buying one???
Seriously, the difference in the wet, the dry and all conditions is nothing short of incredible. Much more grip, but then when you do push it that little bit further it is so predictable, you can feel whats about to happen before it happens. Anyways without further ado if you aren't convinced yet this ought to do it!

LSD is so much better to drive with, and much easier to drift and still maintain control than any open wheeler will ever be.
Although, having said that, an open wheeler is better for someone who is inexperienced with the feel of a slide, because instead of bagging 1 wheel and still driving straight, an LSD will crank both wheels and start to kick the rear end out.
Personally, I preffer the LSD, it's easier to control with a bit of throttle play

That's the Kicker, it comes down to what you feel more comfortable with, An LSD will always be more predictable. It's not a question of will it kick out on me or not, it's when will it kick out. But that's predictable too if you've ever driven a LSD car.
Also in a situation that's a bit more applicable to Canada, on snow sometimes you need the added traction of having both spin rather than one spinning and the other just hanging out and doing nothing.
Which is why my Torsen Diff will be going in soon, you know the one that i managed to get for ... ummm ... free!!!!!!!!!!!

So when i heard of another guy here with the LSD had wrecked his car ii managed to get it for the guy looking for the wreck for $636.00 after tax and in exchange for my help i got the few assorted bits and pieces that i needed and the Diff.
