hey guys! just wondering if any one can help me out! everyone know that soarers are pretty slow off the mark due to the weight factor.... a good diff ratio could help this, i am looking for something higher than a 4.11 if there is such a thing with soarer diffs, if someone could help me out would be greatly appreciated! also where i could buy one of these babies from! thanks

Haha SOarers are slow off the line???

ON street Tyres my TT ran a 1.89 60 footer and on MT Et Streets with and empty race weight of 1582kg's Plus my 125=1707kg's I can run consistent 1.71 60 footers all night with the odd 1.68-1.69....

Do you have a stall convertor? Or maybe the ITB setup you have might be lacking torque down low?

Seeing as i Did ask you a reasonable question to which you didnt even reply to, And the fact i was pointing out that NOT ALL soarers are slow off the mark.

Obviously V8 ones are as they all complain about the slow 60 foot times at the drags and on the street. Even though the V8 brigade mostly say how much faster the V8 is off the line compared to a TT.. I have never seen a V8 soarer outjump a TT off the line.

SO i was putting up some useful info CHAMP!

I was trying to say " Get over the fact that Soarers are NOT slow off the line because of their weight!"

Have you driven any other V8 soarers? And also i Did ask that Maybe your ITB setup just completely lacks bottom end and suffers badly from it?

But you didnt even read the questions i asked, or look outside the picture....

Doesnt matter What Gear ratio you change to in the Diff, If you cant get enough RPM off the line, it will always be a pig down low.

I would suggest Going to a TT ratio Diff ( 4.09 vs 3.7) and getting a Stall convertor to help get the rpm up and get it off the line.

Most V8's are slow from the start because there Torque Converters are stuffed. Stalling at 1,200rpm = NG.
Do a brake stall and check yours !

Mick, you can try an TT diff wich have 4.09 diff ratio, I have that and off the line I don't think many TT's will bit you, because they need too build up the power, you have it from start.

Muzzy, it's also depends on the driver. please don't forget that.
I don't know if you were at Castle Hill when Jeff said he will bit any TT owner the first 100m, and he did.

Sorry, I don't have a price for the manual only. I did a few other things as well and it set me back around $16000 in total, this time.

Manual cost me around $5,500 Mick. I have the exact figure somewhere in last years accounts but that is close enough -- you will have differences in labour costs and might choose a different gearbox.
