Im in the market for some tyres (19x8). Would like something that is under $350 per tyre and has good grip performance for the occasional straight line racing, but no drifting, tracking or any stuff like that =) Any recommendations?

I just put on a set of Hankook K107 (takes over from the K104 as their premium tyre). 245/35/19 fronts and 275/30/19 rear. They replaced Dunlop FM702 which came with the rims when I got them. The Hankooks are considerably quieter, have excellent feedback in the wet for a tyre in this price range ($320-$400 per tyre depending on size) and the dry grip is awesome. Turn in is a touch slower than with some of the better tyres I have driven on such as Yokohama's, Michelins etc but for the cash these are very impressive.

I will be changing from Hankook Ventus 104 sports and will be going to BF Goodrich G-Force profiler's , these are the only Goodrich tyre made by the same process as the Michelin Pilot Sport [ BF Goodrich is owned by Michelin ] . These tyres are awesome , individually vacuum formed on a mold [ same as F1 tyres ]silca technology just the best short of something that costs $600.00 . You will get 65,000 K's out of them with outstanding grip wet or dry AND they are quiet . 245/40/18's can be had here in Queensland for $270.00 each fitted , 265/35/18's are $325.00 each , a great price .

Mate. Haven't Had a Drama with road noise. My Bro's Got Hankook ventus 19"s on his R34 Skyline (235's and 265's same size as mine) and personally I think the Kumho's feel a tad more confident in the tight stuff, they also get water away more efficiently than the Hankook's.

I found that the wet grip of the Kumho's are much better than a lot of the other tyres on the market, even exceeding the premium ones. But the dry grip for them is weak, even compared to the Nankang NS-2. They exhibit less road noise than other uni-directional tyres. I find them to be the best bang for your buck tyres, and very good for all round safety. I would definitely recommend them for daily drivers.
