The s2 rim with the bolt pattern centre cap? They look so tough just wish they were +40 offset. Don't really Wang to run spacers...

I don't want to hear about your wang.

I dont know which is which when it comes to series 1 and 2 wheels. I bought two sets of wheels, unknowingly one of each, but broke one of the fronts hitting a kerb at Wakefield. I sold a pair of the rears to help a guy out in Sydney. Turns out they were the ones without the ribs.

The ribless ones look a lot nicer without centres. I am not sure if They were the first series. Did toyota make the smooth ones and then decide they were not strong enough, or did they make the ribbed ones and then decided they were unnecessarily strong?

I pulled the rims off the road car today. They are:

Front:18 x 8.5 +46 Racing Sparco NSII (clear big brakes) with 245/40/18 tyres. No rubbing or clearance issues

Rear: 18 x 9.5 +45 Racing Sparco NSII with 275/35/18 tyres. No rubbing or clearance issues.

Note: the rear rim does not clear big brakes when placed on the front. It also fouls on the UCA and comes very close to the sway bar. I estimate you would need about +38 to clear the caliper and UCA to run this size on the front.

Its kinda weird your rears would foul the suspension so much on the front when they have the same measurements as my fronts. The only thing that didn't clear for me was the tyres on the untouched guards at full lock with the suspension bottomed (or near enough). You wouldn't think the rim profiles would be that different..

I am running 18x9.5 +32 at the front and they are the perfect fit for big brakes. And clear everything by a safe amount.
With no guard work they fill the guards nicely in my opinion

Spencer, the major issue is the fact the spokes do not clear the Supra brakes. Because of this the rim may have been pointing inwards (toe in) a little more than it would otherwise. Also my suspension is in full droop(ie the car is on stands), so under full load the rim may actually clear the UCA.

WHat sort of rim, Jack?

Work efors. Similar to a work vs and like the bbs you see on legacys.

I usually run 8.5 on front but cracked a rim when I hit a pothole so I have the 9.5 on the front cause my 17's don't clear brakes.
