| After selling my old 19"s to Zimmer, I am now stuck with stock 16" cheese cutters! I am looking for a new set of rims, I need some opinions. I was thinking maybe some black 19"s with chrome deep dish. I saw a set of 18" Volk GT-C but they are 18x10 on the rears, how much modification would I need to fit these under the guards without rubbing to much? Post some pics up of some rims you think will suit my car...I need some input

| It all depends on the offsets. If they're in the high 40's you should be able to get away with just a guard roll. |

| Black rims are getting very popular and for good reason ! I have white starcorp impuls 19s which i got from tempe but now they are selling them in BLACK apparetly and they look tough as with plenty of dish. *read down the page for news on them in the link http://www.tempetyres.com.au/news.asp |

| You could get it to work, but you'd either have to shave/roll the guards, drop it and run a bit of camber. |

| So some coilovers and roll the guards? Do you think that will do the job, I don't mind a bit of camber but nothing to crazy! remember its a daily driver (sometimes) lol Where can I chase up some coilovers for about $1200? |

| I have +38 rims on the front with 8mm spacers and it so far hasnt rubbed and does not stick out of the guards as per pic. I think i would be correct in saying the spacers have now made these +30 ?

I thought that would make them +46mm offset? I would have thought tramlining would be a big issue with a +30mm offset |

| A spacer subtracts from the offset, so +38 -8 = +30 total offset. Which will increase tramlining as the wheel is now further out and has move leverage on the steering mechanism. If that makes sense. [Edited Pen] |

| Before i get shot at I did my homework and purchased the best spacers I could find.these have the hub ring integrated into them.this way the wheel sits on the hubs instead of the wheel studs. and with the use of longer studs I am now happy with the end result.

| Yes it equals +30mm. Muz where did you get the spacers from mate? Are these the ADR-approved ones? I keep hearing about them but don't know if there are any available. |

| Hmmm looks like the GT-C's wont fit! What other rims should I get? Can I fit 18x9.5 on the rears? |

| 20x10's fit under the rear guards without problems.... Buy a set of rims that firstly, YOU like and secondly, YOU can afford, no point of asking all of us what rims you should get, everyone has different tastes..... Personally I reckon you fcuked up when you sold your 19's. They looked great on your car, but I guess whatever tickles your fancy... |

| No spacers, big brakes - all good. But plan to go to 20's soon - 9" front, 10" rear. |

| I suggest you test fit some 18 inch rims and use an offset calculator and common sense to work out the specs you can get away with. I am lead to believe that +38 in a 18x10 GT-C SHOULD fit the guards of the soarer. At worse small guard roll of the inner lip (not visible from outside) and they will fit.
