I'm planning on getting a TRD or Cusco 1.5 way LSD for my V8. What should I expect to pay to have the centre installed into my existing housing?

I had one installed in mine last year, however the pinion bearing has now gone.
So my advice would be have the whole diff rebuilt inc pinion bearings
The pricing I have is
Seal UZZ30Bridge Toyota$25.37$672.85
BearingBridge Toyota$77.00
Oil Seal NonarlBridge Toyota$50.74
Bearing PinionBridge Toyota$170.62
BearingBridge Toyota$147.00
Bearing Assy, CTRBridge Toyota$202.12

apparently the TRD diff is only available in the 2 way. mine is being installed tomorrow. the quote is $337,or add another $250 if i want all bearings done.my bearings are in good nick, though.

Did the TRD centre come with the side bearings pressed on or where the old bearings removed from the old diff then pressed onto the TRD centre?

Please post up how the car drives with the 2way TRD.

I'm considering getting a Kaaz 1.5way diff as they are a bit cheaper than the TRD and Cusco.

i would have prefered the 1.5 way also. diff housing will go in the car later this month. will let you know.New Side bearings were not pressed when it arrived. i used the original ones. diff guy said they were still mint and to save my money.HPI mag put the same diff in their aristo, said it went well, not too intrusive. The TRD diffs arrive with some of the plates out of order(stacked that way deliberately), to reduce the breakaway force so the car drives like a stocker. to get the best LSD effect, the diff shops simply rearrange the plates correctly. He then tested the breakaway force and it was 65 pounds, which is quite high(meaning it will groan a little around slow tight corners). In contrast, a standard hilux lsd has approx 35 pounds breakaway force, and my 2jz project has been shimmed to 80 pounds.
