Hey all.

I have a "DATA SYSTEM, R-SPEC" Height controller in my Soarer. (older model by the looks)

I bought it 2nd hand off ebay, and it seems to work fine. (touch wood lol)
Just wondering if anyone has one of these, or an instruction manual for one?

I have to stop the car compleatly before it will let me switch height settings. It would be great if i can change it so that I can raise and lower the car while on the move.

Cheers,
Adam

Hi Adam
I've got one fitted to my celsior and don't know for sure, i don't have any instructions either. But i don't think you can change the settings while moving, i know mine won't do it Have you tried searching R spec on here? There is a fair bit of info.

No worries.
Just up the top of every page just under where it says user name it says search. Click that and then put in whatever you want to search for eg. R spec and hit enter. Then it will bring up past threads about that subject, it may take a while to sort through. But there's heaps of info it helped me get an understanding how it works sort of.

I have one of these and its totally annoying me.
Each morning i now find the car flat on its bump stops.

I dont know if its a setting on the R-Spec or my airbags are dead?

Dave, we disconnected it and the suspension is still doing odd things. However, its only when the car is parked tho.

Once i know how to program it i might reconnect it and go from there.

But the thing is, it doesnt go down like a leaking air line. It drops just as if the lowering button is pressed. Its not a gradual thing. In other words, I park the car and its fine, leave it for 30mins and its still the same height, then suddenly it lowers itself 20cm in 30seconds !

It did it this afternoon right in front of me.

It makes the same noise to drop as it does to raise.
I parked last night on [HIGH] and it stayed up all night.
I parked it this morning at work on [NORMAL] and it dumped itself to the ground after 30 mins.

Its a deliberate lowering Dave and it happens about 30mins after the car is parked. No one is in the car as it does it all by itself.

Adam do you think the last owner may have fitted something that lowers the car after the ign is turned off because it looks cool!!. Try leaveing the ign on for 30mins?
there has to be some sort of timer somewere in the system and switching to high seems to bypass it....

Well i disconnected the battery last night for 30 mins with the aim to erase any stored info in the ECU and other on board computers.
I set the car to [NORMAL] setting and left it overnight to see if it would dump itself and it DIDN'T.
So 'maybe' i have sorted out the problem ? only the next few days will tell.

Well guess what.
After 2 days of staying up, it dropped itself again over night.

I will take the battery out tonight and leave it till the morning.
