I thought I'd impress everyone with some awesome burnouts at the weekend and sure enough, acting like a goose has bit me in the bum. I broke my LSD diff!!
Not sure what parts (or the whole thing) need replacing but any ideas of where to start looking to get an idea for pricing would be helpful.
Thanks guys!

I also have a supra 6 speed in the car, will it be the same diff or a supra....or does it depend what the previous owner had done??

The early TT supra diff has a two large heatsink like wings on the rear of it. Other than that you take the rear cover off and count teeth.

you need to get the rear cover off to see if you broke the crown wheel, pinion,or the lsd centre. the crown wheel and pinion is cheapest- you can replace those bits with parts from an open diff(cheaper).

You can't tell us you never pulled a burnout or 2 back in the day? (that is if you had powerful wheels to do it with) I was labeled Burnout King in my late teens, but I wouldn't waste my time and tyres doing it now, and expect it will cost $$$ if you do!!

Some of my mates found it quite impressive, hehe. And I thought it a lot of fun!!

Although I must admit, I will certainly NOT be doing it again in a hurry. I have this awesome new car that I bought a month ago and I have been driving around in a 'rent a bomb' corolla for over a week....not impressive at all. So as much as I like slipping the wheels I can see Daves point!
