Hey, just a general question. I would like to know the exact weight of the Volk Racing GTC rim, preferably 18 inch.
I have had emailed replies from 6 businesses, all different answers to the weight. 2 didn't know, 6.5-7kg max, 25lbs (11.3kg), roughly 10kgs, around 8-10kg.
I don't really care if this question doesn't get answered, though it would clear my head a little because I'm after some lightweight rims very soon.

they are not that light. no 2 piece ever will be. forged mono blocks will be around 7kgs |

For the record, 12.8 and 13.8kg in box, so maybe 12 and 13kg for the wheels alone. |

For 11's?
Hmm.. yeah I am after 18 x 9. Tyre weight would be what? 5,6kg?
So if I can get away with 16 kg and under I'll be happy. Stuff the 16kg 16 inch wheels I have at the moment, and replace with gtc's. |

Justin, I'll let you know re:scrubbing when I install them this Saturday (need a torque wrench)

im on my second set of gt-c's currently,i first had them in 18'' with the silver spokes,now i have a set of rather large GOLD ones!
funnily enough my gold ones which are 19''s are slightly lighter than the previous 18's.
i love these rims! |

dont have pics of the gold ones on the car yet but i have pics of them when i just fitted some new tyres to them, and i have a rather old pic of my car with the silver ones,i shall chase sum pics now |

as for the paint,is it the metallic red on the rx8 and mazda 6's etc? because that's what im doing!

HAHA yeah that's my red!! With black bonnet and roof. Good taste mate, make sure you add a little extra metallic to it if you can as it will glitter that little bit extra in the sun! |
