The first "A" deter mans the size of the coupling, ring size to the drive shaft
A=7.5" ring size B=8" ring size
so you would get example diff codes like this "A01A" and "B01A".
(i belive aristos have the "B" diff and TT supras. i think..... i need clarifaction on that. This would explain why once at work we had to change the coupling on an aristo diff to fit into a v8 soarer we were working on)
The "01" "02" and "03" deter mans the ratio of the diff. the ratios are shown in the above table after the diff codes. (i checked a uzz31 soarer and had a A01A and my TT has a "A02A") so v8 and TT soares have different ratio diffs. i think we all know that anyway!
The last "A" or "B" signifies if the diff is a LSD type or open type.
my main question is what are the diff codes that came in the aristo? were they A01A or A02A or even B01A and B02A?? did different models come with different ratios like the soarers??

I disagree that the A02A or a02B diff is a 4.3 ratio. i think it is 4.1. the TT is 4.1, there is a 3.9,the supra jza80 auto is 4.1, the six speed manuals have a 3.23 ratio, and there is a 3.7 ratio( i think it is the jza80 manual non turbo.) i don't know where the 4.3 comes from??? has anyone heard of one?
