On my last service i was told by toyota that my upper and lower control arm bushes have excess movement and that i will need to replace the whole control arms which is an expensive option nearly totally $4000 so im just wondering if i replace the whole arms or get the bushes from VFT bushes im confused please help

thanks troy

Unless the lower ball joints are stuffed, I would get the bushes from Andrew Vlamos.........hugely much cheaper and better than OE quality.

In most cases it's usually just the bushes. I heard recently that Toyota are selling the bushes separately but I think I'd rather go with a set of VFTs (everyone that has them seems like they can't get enough of them).

Troy,

I had the same delima but ended up buying the VFT bushes.

Check your ball joints first. If it is ok then go with the purchase.

At the end of the day it is much cheaper buying a second hand control arms with good ball joints and moving your vft bushes from the older arm. but you will have to check how difficult it is to take off them bushes.

From reading the threands ball joints usually last a long time
