I have recently come across a Torsen diff from a supra which is no longer working. After looking at the innards, it looks as if the teeth on some of the cogs have broken off. The car was pulling 350rwkw + . I was curious to know whether these things are worth fixing or whether they can even be fixed?

ive got play in my diff, i presume between the crown and pinion. you can feel the drivline is sloppy when potting around in first gear, and ive got a bit of a whine at speed on the highway... how is this repairable, by adjustment in the diff or by shimming it up ect ect?

If it's a Torsen then get it fixed before any teeth come off and stuff the centre! Usually it is the crown/pinion/bearings and not the centre that is faulty but if teeth come off they'll cause damage to the centre. New crown/pinion is around $1100 from Toyota. Bearings about $400 to $500 fitted and crown/pinion lapped. If it hasn't done any tooth damage yet then just the new bearings and re-lapping will sort it.
