It occured to me that since when new rubber control arm bushes are installed, the car needs to be sitting at ride height when the bushes are tightened...wouldn't it also stand to reason that lowering the car without loosening them off first and retightening at the new ride height, be a cause of accelerated failure?

not really cause when the suspension is at full drop (on jack) and when its sitting on the road is a big difference where as when car is lowered by 2 or so inches wouldnt make so much as a difference.
