Hey guys, my soarer has been driving like an army tank since i bought it, not exactly scraping on the ground but bloody well close to it considering it isn't kitted. I have a feeling that the person before me mucked around with the screws under the arches for a cheap lowering fix. I have never been able to use the TEMS adjusting switch or the HEIGHT switch and i thought that this was because of a suspension computer error. Not so, as i replaced it and nothing changed. I have been able to use these switches on HOT days, so i've deducted that it would be because the airbags are hot and have expanded, thus more height, which leads me to assume the previous owner lowered it too far causing a sensor malfunction.....?
What i'm asking here is has anyone noticed that when they lower their v8 uzz31 soarer using the bolts behind the wheels that their switches don't work properly? I'll be looking at it in a few weeks time but i'm not sure if this is the only problem.

I bought it because it was cheap. I think that if there is a next time I will know exactly what to look for in a quality soarer, suspension being up there. Anyone else ever had this problem?

You have to be very careful when lowering a Soarer using the bolts.
The car is self-leveling and sometimes when you adjust it at the back the front with come out of alignment.
My car was sitting very high after about 100,000km and I got weird results from my height controller so I replaced all 4 struts. That helped and the damping got a lot better as well.

Thanks Benny G, did you have to reset the screw positions? How do you know the where the "default" level is? I'm just making sure so i know what to look for when uni study break starts, and I get off my arse and do some repairs.

I actually got Niall in Botany to do it. He knows his Soarers.
You can probably get there by trial and error. Just expect it to take a bit of time.
First adjust the rears to be at the same physical level on the rods and then adjust the fronts to make the final adjustments (at least I think that's what he did).
