I'm just wondering what TEMS actually does. Does it raise or lower the suspension depending on the condition of the roads surface? Or does it just change the stiffness of the car? Last question? Who drives with it On of Off? Thanks in advance...

oh ok, power switch?as in the overdrive switch? or the ECT switch which has normal and power on it,i was told it selects gears quicker ,NOT adjust suspension .is this true?

On the TT with TEMS, the ECT switch also adjusts TEMS, so it is either PWR-Sport or Econ-Normal. On the V8 the switches (and switching) are separate and independent.

Did Factory Manual Soarers come out with TEMs?
to be honest i have heard different Opinions for TT PWR switch ive been told it doesnt stiffen the suspension.
So who does really know? i dont feel no difference in PWR or NORM in suspension (in gear changing yes)
By the way does anyone know a place that can change your shocks on TT with TEMS i rang pedders and said they cant do it? (or was i speaking to someone who didnt know what they were on about)

ect or etc? i.e. what switch? The stories appear consistent to me. You just have to untangle the actions by model and then separate out the comments of those whose TEMS is cactus. This is what I read: TT manual with TEMS: stiffening is speed-controlled TT auto with TEMS: stiffening happens with the ECT switch in PWR V8 with TEMS (airbags or not): Separate switch with Norm-Sport modes V8 Active: no such switch or action. The active looks after all that.
Effect is not strong but still quite noticeable if your suspension is working properly, especially at higher speed on a road with a few bumps in it. I leave my V8 (air struts) on Norm (soft) most of the time, flicking it for faster roundabouts or any serious twisty bits.
