I used to run 255/40/18 on the front with that same offset and 285/35/18 continentals on the rear. The 245 is better for the front I think, much closer to stock rolling diameter. Expensive tyres though.
Getting quotes tomorrow on some PZero Rossos and the Proxe T1R. Hopefully have the new rims on by tomorrow night.

I run Bridgestone's Fuzion Z rated, sorry Robert for your troubles, and IMO they have withstood all of my torture for 3 years now and STILL have plenty of tread left. They can be bought for a bargain at $275 each!!!

Called around today and the best price I got on decent 285/35/18 were Yokohama Advan V103. Fitted up with the new rims today, fills the guard much better than before.

how much bobby? And how wide are your rims, they look like they are only 8.5 inch, which isnt wide enough to accommodate a 285 tyre well, ie they will flex more

$590 each for the 285's. As per my original post they are a 10 inch rim on the rears, which is the optimum rim width for a 285 tyre based on Yokohama's site.

Wow, I noticed you guys run pretty wide tyres on the fronts. Doesn't this affect steering response? Braking will be improved yes, but the response around those roundabouts would suck! Is this correct?
I run 255/40R17 Dunlop Direzza's on the rear, it's all the grip I need on the track after they are warmed up. Though the shocking Nexen/Roadstone's up the front in 235/45R17 are horrible cheapies. Turn one way in the wet, it will just go straight.
